Caravan is permanently pitched on here now with chains and padlocks. Unsure if land has been purchased or they have decided to take over but there’s no way of staying here.

rumdev08/08/2022My home turf. ostensibly nice, shady lay-by next to the river Dart. In reality it’s challenging: Approach is steep, broken tarmac, on a dangerous bend in the busy A road. I’ve seen some nasty accidents so take care. Rooty ground, noisy road, and it’s right opposite the sewerage works so not a pleasant river stop sadly. My 4x4 is happy enough but not one for motorhomes.
Purenaturepics29/06/2022Ein unebener schattiger Platz unter Bäumen auf Waldboden mit Wurzeln (Achtung beim rückwärts Hineinfahren). Die Strasse ist ein paar Meter daneben - man hört sie also sehr gut, auch nachts (da weniger Verkehr). Eine gewisse Gefahr besteht auch, dass Sie ein Anderer zuparkt, der sich vor Sie stellt. Aber auf der anderen Seite ist ein hübscher Fluss mit einer schönen Steinbrücke. Gut für 1 Nacht.

We liked the beautiful shaded location if focusing only on one side, the river. behind is a very busy road and the road noise was ever present. 5 stars if not for the road.
