Superb little stopover. Plenty of spaces available down the estuary road. No amenities or bins etc so take your rubbish with you. Perfect for the wild campers. Its very open next to the sea and can be terribly windy so bare this in mind! Quietens down at night, good mobile reception.

Lots of spaces to park up along this road but this space in particular was great as there was enough space to get chairs out and watch the seabirds. No bins or services but a really quiet night and lovely views!

fantastic spot to stay the night great views and there were other vans so as a solo traveller I felt really safe. definitely reccomend..

Great spot to spend the night. Great views and really peaceful at night

  • 5/5

lovely stop, felt so at peace watching the view - quiet overnight, we stayed in the large parking area- direct access into the sea - and a small stone area thay youbcould sit out on and have picnic if you wanted - saw someone fishing and another paddleboarding

Really peaceful spot! So beautiful - especially when the sun is setting. I litter picked a bag full of tissues, McDonalds rubbish, and bottles which were probably left by cars. Please pick up any rubbish you see so spots like this don't get banned

stunning views and a calm wind, stopped overnight on a Sunday. Generally quiet and as mentioned can be a bit plaqued with some boy racers sounding horns but wasn't too late. Just boredom I guess and bit typical in our country spoiling what is some stunning landscape to enjoy.

Perfect place, quiet sleep, quiet night, view of the sea and the airport, there is a lot of wind

  • 5/5

Es ist ruhig und eine sehr schöne Aussicht. Anfahrt war ein wenig schwierig aber es lohnt sich.

  • 5/5

Great jewel right on the water with small private parking bays. Please take your rubbish with you so that standing is tolerated here for even longer.

Amazing view, nice nature, quiet night. Don't leave any rubbish behind! Beautiful area with impressive view over Menai Strait.

We stayed here & had our rear doors open in till we went to sleep as the view is amazing. There are several bays, that go up to the beach, these are separated by hedges & then theres a larger area at top. I recommend the single bays as you are somewhat protected from the wind & it does get very windy! The spaces between the bays are ample for privacy, the view is amazing & the road is very quiet.

Great spot. One of my favourites. Views over estuary and several other vans dotted along the road, (but not too close) making you feel safe. If you have a pop-top check the wind. It’s quite exposed. We finished off with a huge breakfast at the friendly Caernarfon Golf Club.

This place was our very first “wild” camping ever. Beautiful sunset, Stunning morning view, Absolute quiet during the night, level parking, space for about 5 vehicles. Definitely worth a visit.

  • 5/5

Stayed a little further down from the parking spot for more level ground, 1-2 car go by in the night was not disturbed by anyone, easy to find, 4G signal with 3 bars on EE. Cost £0 to park here and a public bin about 20 yards away and a little bit of wind in the night but the view is worth it.

  • 5/5

Amazing views in the morning, on a slight slope but nothing too bad. Didn’t get disturbed at all, highly recommended

  • 5/5

Very quiet and beautiful spot. Doesn’t appear to be any restrictions and nobody bothered us overnight. The night I stayed was very windy and you are open to the elements being so close to the sea…,, I didn’t get a great nights sleep that night, but still a great spot.

  • 5/5

If you go a little further along the road there is a place for 4 to 6 larger vans. Great parkup, very quiet with outstanding views over the estuary.

  • 5/5

Plenty of pitches spaced out, this one is a must visit and one of my more favourites visits. It’s my first visit and won’t be my last. Nothing sketchy and cheeky about this pitch and seems they are out there for People like us.

  • 4/5

The small pitches are perfect for Berlingo/Caddy sized van, and there are 20-50ft of bushes between each one. You’re closer to the beach and water (at high tide) than you are to the next person. Signal in Vodafone was sketchy. There are no toilets or services, but it’s a quiet, peacefully pitch and seemingly one of the last of its kind around this area.

Peaceful location. Cars turned up in the evening with fishermen and left after a few hours. No problems at all. No signs regarding parking anywhere to be seen at this spot.

  • 4/5

Really nice place to park IF you can get a single place, there is plenty of lay bys though. Had no trouble, traffic was quiet, there are lots of locals fishing, so be respectful thats all I'd say.

  • 4/5

Sometimes come here to watch the sunset. Have stayed a couple of nights in an individual spot. Very quiet. Only suitable for small vans though, so nothing bigger than a VW transporter

  • 1/5

Plagued with teenagers racing cars at night and locals sounding horns in the morning as they pass by.

  • 5/5

Great place to stay overnight! Beautiful sunset!

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot can get a little toe windy

  • 4/5

Beautiful spot to watch the sunset although very windy. Parked in one of the single parking spaces just past the lay-by which was slightly more sheltered. When the tide was out, a few people turned up to fish/collect shellfish. Road seemed to get busier as it got dark and a few cars stopped in the main lay-by (possibly the doggers mentioned in another comment) but did not disturb us.

Came here on Tuesday just gone around 5pm. It was a great quiet spot until we were woken up at 22.30 shouting and beeping their car horns. Looks like it could be a popular dogging spot. fortunately after stalling our van a few times we made a quick getaway to a quieter spot we stayed the previous night.

Good place, a little further up from the place mentioned here are more inlets and parking spots.

  • 5/5

Stunning views ! Un super coin nature, à 6 km de Caernarfon. De l'espace, pas de réglementation ! On croit rêver. Merci pour le partage !

Super stop. Great view of mountains and the sea. A little bit of paradise.
