Beau petit coin au sommet de la presqu'île. Populaire auprès des promeneurs de chiens pendant la journée. Aucun panneau interdisant tout type de stationnement. Maison à proximité qui vous remarquerait si vous vous comportiez mal ! Mieux vaut arriver le soir, être tranquille et partir le matin. Route étroite pour descendre, nécessite l'utilisation d'un lieu de passage. Espace pour 10 voitures/petits camping-cars (par exemple VW), ne convient pas aux camping-cars. Route principale et ligne de chemin de fer à proximité (voir carte), mais devrait être morte la nuit.
Beautiful little spot at the top of the peninsula. Popular with dog walkers during the day. No signs prohibiting any kind of parking. House nearby which would notice you if you were behaving badly! Best to arrive in evening, be quiet & leave in morning. Narrow road to get down, requires use of passing place. Space for 10 cars/small campervans (eg VW), not suitable for motor homes. Main road & railway line nearby (see map), but should be dead at night.
Wunderschöner kleiner Ort an der Spitze der Halbinsel. Tagsüber beliebt bei Hundewanderern. Keine Schilder, die jegliche Art von Parken verbieten. Haus in der Nähe, das Sie bemerken würde, wenn Sie sich schlecht benehmen! Am besten abends ankommen, ruhig sein & morgens abreisen. Schmaler Weg zum Abstieg, erfordert die Nutzung eines Passierplatzes. Platz für 10 Autos/kleine Wohnmobile (zB VW), nicht für Wohnmobile geeignet. Hauptstraße und Bahnlinie in der Nähe (siehe Karte), sollte aber nachts tot sein.
Un bonito y pequeño lugar en la cima de la península. Popular entre los paseadores de perros durante el día. No hay letrero que prohíba cualquier tipo de estacionamiento. ¡Casa cercana que te notaría si te portabas mal! Es mejor llegar por la noche, estar tranquilo y salir por la mañana. Camino estrecho para descender, requiere el uso de un punto de cruce. Espacio para 10 coches / autocaravanas pequeñas (p. Ej. VW), no apto para autocaravanas. La carretera principal y la línea ferroviaria están cerca (ver mapa), pero deberían estar inactivas por la noche.

Meglio arrivare la sera, stare zitti e partire la mattina. Strada stretta per la discesa, richiede l'utilizzo di un valico. Spazio per 10 auto/piccoli camper (es. VW), non adatto ai camper. Strada principale e linea ferroviaria nelle vicinanze (vedi mappa), ma dovrebbe essere morta di notte.
Mooi plekje op de top van het schiereiland. Populair bij hondenuitlaters gedurende de dag. Geen teken dat elke vorm van parkeren verbiedt. Huis in de buurt dat je zou opmerken als je je misdroeg! Het is beter om 's avonds aan te komen, stil te zijn en' s ochtends te vertrekken. Smalle weg om af te dalen, vereist het gebruik van een oversteekplaats. Ruimte voor 10 auto's / kleine campers (bijv. VW), niet geschikt voor campers. Hoofdweg en spoorlijn in de buurt (zie kaart), maar zou 's nachts dood moeten zijn.

perfection(apart from the litter..). no facilities, good signal on 3, level spots about. only 3 vans last night and just stunning. bad for litter and glass on beach. beautiful walk around the peninsular

stayed here for 3 nights, lovely view, no facilities other than a waste bin. some noise from dog walkers, cars parking up and nearby train line. definitely visit again.
Theresa63911/07/2024Ruhiger Spot am Wasser. Mülleimer ist vorhanden. Wir haben dort mit einem weiteren Camper geschlafen. Abends konnten wir noch einen schönen Spaziergang machen.

Fantastic spot, so peaceful at night. Midgies can be a pain if it calm. But absolutely bliss. Small beach where I had a small fire and a beer before bed. Always respect the area and the locals. Take rubbish home with you. This is in my top 5 spots can’t recommend enough. Great signal on your phone also.

Flat and quiet. There were a few passing cars mostly dog walkers and some other campers here but there was lots of room.

Lovely stop. Fire on the beach, 2/3 other vans. Trains passing, dog walkers in the morning. One bin.

Nice level spot looking out over the estuary. Lots of seabirds with potential to walk around the point. Unfortunately very popular with dog walkers, some arrived very early. Nearby trainline where they sound their horn due to level crossing, but this does not happen overnight.

Nice spot, quiet at night, with some dog walkers during the day. Close to 2 houses, make sure to keep the place clean!

A fine spot for the night but busy with dog walkers and we felt a bit uncomfortable being so close to two houses. Good dog walk around the peninsula though and we saw a seal.
harrietgz_27/07/2023After coming from Skye and having only lay-by's as suggested spots, we tried looking for a spot ourself, when that didn't work out we found this one. Nice walk (3,5 km) and nice view of the opposite coast. And one of the best sunsets I've ever seen (above the mountains). Quiet night, after the train whistles stopped (11 pm?)
Evans8503/06/2023Lovely spot for 1 night. I personally hardly noticed the trains. Lovely views across the water to Greenock and the ferry port the new Calmac is being built st. Lots of dog walkers when we arrived & in the morning. Everyone is quiet enough. Circular walk following the sea is lovely where we were lucky to spy a deer.

This is a lovely spot to stay, it has no facilities. There is a railway near, you do hear the trains, but it’s not constant and there is no trains late at night. Please keep this clean, take your own rubbish with you!

Platz direkt an der Bucht mit schöner Aussicht auf das Meer. Ruhig und Idyllisch. Standen mit einem VW T6 hier. Für Wohnmobile ist es wahrscheinlich zu eng. Parken über Nacht ist erlaubt. Ein Schild vor Ort fordert auf, Rücksicht auf die Umwelt zu nehmen. Es gibt einen öffentlichen Mülleimer, aber sonst keine Facilities.

Nous avons passé la nuit. Endroit très calme pour dormir ( pas de toute et le train ne circule pas la nuit). jolie vue sur une plage. En bref un très bon spot !

Stayed for 1 night beautiful little spot was very quiet a few people dog walking along the beach front but nice & clean. A train line not far behind but could hardly hear them. Would definitely recommend & stay again

Great stop over, little exposed when it's windy, watch the birds when the tide goes out. Lovely dog walk (2.5mile) 45mins around Ardmore point. It was busy with dog walkers in the evening mainly. Trains ran from 6am to 22.45 on a weekday but hardly noticed the noise over the lapping waves. Will use again enjoy..
