How sad that van lifers take advantage and use the same location continuously . 2m Height barriers due to be installed this week to stop overnight van parking

  • 1/5

Due to over use and massive vans turning up taking up multiple spaces and running generators the local council has decided to fit height barriers. Thank you everyone.. this is now ruined for the local van lifers :(

As a campervan owner and local to the village, it's disappointing to see that we have on average 4 van owners who use the carpark every night clearly taking advantage. It's now been reported height barriers are going up. Once again a great location has been abused by individuals staying far too frequently and upsetting locals.

Good place to stay for the night. Free car park, by the side of a busy road. Parking spots slightly short so we overhung a little bit. Car park felt very safe as lots of CCTV cameras.

Good little car park for anything up to 23 hours. No charges. May be a little tight for a long wheel base van or motorhome but if you’re lucky enough to get one of the parallel parking spots then you might be ok. Next to road but it’s pretty quiet after 11pm. Aylesford Village is historic and well worth a walk around to see the medieval bridge, old architecture and friary. Nice pubs too.

Quiet, decent place to park for one night. Must be really secured as some old classic cars were parked. Did not noticed anybody sleeping overnight, no toilets. A bit of a cars noise from the nearby small road.

Endroit pratique pour une nuit !

  • 3/5

Parking proche de la ville et d’une aire de jeu pour les enfants. Places légèrement penchées, surtout beaucoup de bruit avec une circulation importante à proximité. Mais idéal pour une nuit ;) merci à la commune.

The post code takes you to the east car park, failed to get in due to cars parked on the access road. Due to pathetic access the east car park has 1* but deserves zero as you can't get in with a camper. a small car probably can. if you did get in (no cars on road), good luck getting out, as bet your life there would be cars. The nearby west car park has no such issues and rates a 5* rating.

quite quiet after 11pm a bit tight to turn around. lots of cars parked feels safe. some road noise but nothing too much for me

Good little stop. Friary down the road worth a visit. We actually stayed in the car park over the road - easier to manouver a 6m motorhome and less noisy behind a line of trees from road

  • 4/5

A good stopover but next to a busy road. Spaces are short so we stayed in the long car park on the left as they had spaces along the back, we still overhung but made sure we were in no-ones way.

big car park next to the main road. good for one night as it's very close to the motorway. a little noisy at night with people and trucks driving past. didn't have any problems.

  • 4/5

Large car park, plenty of space but well used so there was some noise. fine for 1 night but knocked off one star as the toilet was locked overnight.

Agree with Rossy1. Felt safe there as both car parks have CCTV. Locals are used to seeing campers there, most are happy to give tips on activities in the area too. Trash can only. A beautiful 16th century architecture to see in village. Lots of shops and supermarkets near too.

This place is great. Walking distance from all the scenic spots in Aylesbury. You must visit The Friars, and Aylesbury bridge. You can stay up to 23 hrs in a single calendar day so fine for overnight. Plenty of space for larger campers and no height restrictions.

Spent one night here, couple of other van's, lots of cars parked overnight. traffic mostly quiet from 11pm - 6am. busy through the day as it appears to be the only carpark for the village, and it's free.
