One of our favourite spots in West Donegal. the car park is small but the beach makes up for it. Fantastic sunsets and walks on an immense beach over 1.5 km long.

Small gravel parking very popular with local dog walkers and sauna visitors. Beautiful long hard packed sandy beach! Busy during the day and empty and quiet at night. On Saturday we were alone and on Sunday had one more van overnight. Road to the parking 4 km of very narrow single track with almost no pullovers. OK phone signal.

Good spot to stay and access the beach. Great beach to surf and walk on.

Wow, what a spot!! Stunning. We were there in November so only van staying overnight. Lots of people parking during day to walk dogs, etc. There is a portal onside, you have to be brave to use these. No other services, not even bins, take your rubbish with you when you leave. Difficult single track with couple switchbacks, not good for big motorhomes.

Narrow roads indeed to get here but it is a worthy beach. Absolutely packed with surfers when we arrive at 7pm but they left not long after that. Just us and one other camper for the night. Unreal sunset. Clean portaloo.

Parking de plage, nous étions par vent fort avec un van toit ouvert, les dunes abritent un peu mais pas complètement. A choisir donc selon la météo. Sinon très calme, nous étions seuls. Très belle plage avec de beaux rouleaux. Toilette (de chantier) sur le parking. Sauna au bout de la plage, se réserve par téléphone.

We thought that we would be alone here, but there were 4 campers with us at night, so a bit busy. It is small car park and I guess very busy during weekends, but we have quiet night. Beach is very nice and mobile toilets were clean. Be careful, road is not suitable for long vehicles.

Great spot for campervans, wouldn’t risk a motorhome with the approach roads. Nestled in the dunes with shelter from wind, if you like surfing/bodyboarding this is for you!

Site de pleine nature, accès par une route étroite , parking à l’abris des dunes et toilettes publiques. Génial spot car la plage est de toute beauté. Notre CC 240x700x300. Sans problème.

Probably marked incorrectly as a ‘surrounded by nature’. Although it is surrounded by the most amazing dunes, this is a gravel car park for the beach … which is also amazing. The dunes gave some protection from the wind. I agree, the roads are single carriageway and narrow in parts, but don’t let this out you off if you are in a standard converted van. Limited options around here …this is awesome!

Roads are tiny, little 4G, Carpark also tiny and not nice itself. However the beach is lovely to visit for a walk

gravel carpark. short walk over sand dunces to stunning beach. narrow roads to reach it. we stayed for 1 night all by ourselves. very windy and no TV signal.

Absolut großartiger Platz. Fast direkt am Meer. Die öffentlichen Toiletten haben wir nicht benutzt, waren aber vorhanden. Es waren einige Camper/Surfer über Nacht da, aber es war wunderbar ruhig. Der Weg hierher wird uns aber einige Kratzer im Lack eingebracht haben, da die Wege sehr, sehr schmal sind.

Yeah the roads are narrow but not that bad, just take it easy. Not the most level car park so bring levelling blocks. Great surf beach.

Beware of the roads! They are extremely narrow and when we were passing through them they were all overgrown so we could not see what was coming towards us, and it also made the road very closed in, room for only one car! Other than that Dooey is a gorgeous beach. Only met one other car there and they were camping. Area is very secluded!

Beautiful huge beach, grey sand, out of the way so very few people in the evening. Hotspot for surfers, car park fills up quickly in the morning!

Très joli, grande plage idéale pour le kitesurf, windsurf, surf et bodyboard.
