Great stop good places to park with excellent walking paths our 7M motorhome was no problem

  • 5/5

A fabulous park up place. I parked in the furthest bay from the road and didn’t hear any traffic. Last of the dog walkers left by 6.30pm and then not another visitor. Had a great nights sleep. Decent 4G on EE.

This was a great sheltered spot for us during the night of Storm Agnes. The wall and trees provided great cover from the wind so keep this place in mind for the next storm! Locals were friendly and the nearby walks are plentiful. Nearest toilets are located in Haltwhistle, which is also a sweet little village.

  • 4/5

Really great park-up ! Calm, individual spaces for intimacy, not flooded even with the rain the past days, great. Just a bit of poo litter, please take your litter home ! And if only august people were a little bit more concerned about others, making noises and the like... Raving at 11pm on arrival with door slamming and running the engine before 8am is not cool guys ! It's a peaceful place ✌️

  • 5/5

What a fabulous spot, with bays for parking. Peaceful night without restrictions, although there no services. The walks in either direction are fabulous, especially to the Lambley Viaduct. Or you can cycle to Haltwhistle in the opposite direction. 30 mins from Carlisle. Plenty of 4G Internet, if that is important to you.

  • 4/5

Lovely quiet car park that enabled us to walk to Lambley Viaduct. Didn’t stay overnight but great potential if you have your own facilities.

  • 5/5

lovely carpark to stay in for the night. very quiet and sheltered. level parking for about 6 vans. you get the odd dog walker or cyclist passing by. free of charge no amenities so need to be self sufficient

  • 5/5

Exactly as described previously: very quiet, lots of level space, friendly walkers in the morning. Just perfect.

  • 5/5

Great place to stay, super quiet (I was the only one here)! had a chat with a local dog walker who was very friendly. plenty of room for 5 or 6 campers. the turn into the carpark can be quite sharp depending on the way you head in from.

  • 5/5

Great spot to get out of the elements. Large wall and trees keeps you out of the wind. Good phone signal on EE quiet and peaceful. My van is 7.5 meters and fitted in ok.

  • 5/5

Ongelofelijk leuke plek! Afgeschermd. Weinig verkeer.

  • 5/5

relatively flat just a slight slope, lo ger or woder vans may find it difficult here we are 6.2m long and 2.3 wide. few people passing during the afternoon early evening after that was quiet. although just off the road there was barely any road noise esp at night. shady area, no facilities but we felt safe and there were 2 other van and a roof tent. no facilities near by

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Beautiful little park up with walks along the North Pennine Way & to Lamberly viaduct on your doorstep. Room for at least 6 vans.

  • 5/5

Quiet night. Dog walking along the route of the old railway, now cycle and bridleway. busy by noon Sunday. good signal on ee

  • 4/5

Rien à rajouter! Propre, calme, relativement plat. On s'y en sécurité. A 19h, nous sommes 2 fourgons.

  • 4/5

Eine erholsame Nacht dort verbracht. Noch 2 weitere Campervans. Super ruhig und sauber. Anfahrt etwas versteckt, aber es lohnt. Nicht für 7 m oder länger.

  • 4/5

Nice spot. space for a few campers. wouldn't want to manoeuvre anything more than 7m long. stayed 1 night in January. arrived late and left early and was the only vehicle in the car park and didn't see a soul.

  • 5/5

Very peaceful spot for the night, only dog walkers until sunset and then nobody else except 2 other campers, felt safe with plenty of space. It was quite windy and rainy through the night for us which was noisy with the trees overhead. No facilities or view here but there is a trail to the viaduct. 4G on Three was great

  • 5/5

Nice spot with flat parking. No facilities, flat parking and quiet at night. Nice walk to the Viaduct from here too.

  • 4/5

Great place for one night stop over, very quiet, plenty of space. no facilities so make sure you have water and a toilet.

  • 4/5

Nice private area. No one else was parked up until the dog walkers in the morning who didn’t seem bothered by us. Close to Hadrian’s wall and toilets in the closest town about 10 mins away ❤️

  • 4/5

Lovely spot but road is quite busy between 7am and 9pm. I recommend walking to the viaduct for a dip in the river. I don't think the pub does food.

  • 4/5

Only 4 stars because no bins. Otherwise a lovely place. Bear in mind the pub is not open on Monday or Tuesday.

  • 5/5

Lovely stop over close to Haltwhistle and Vindolanda Roman Fort. No facilities but nice big bays for motor homes. 85 minute walk into Haltwhistle along a lovely flat and scenic route. There’s a pub called the Wallace Arms just a five minute walk away. We spent one night here with two other motor homes. Plenty of space for around 10 vehicles.

  • 5/5

Stayed here a few weeks ago, it’s great. Did a litter pick, spoke to locals. Only issue was dog owners collecting dog muck in bags and leaving it in car park for dog poo fairy to collect…., rant over

  • 5/5

Great spot, lots of space between the bays, very peaceful.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot, secluded and in nature with great walks along the old railway to the viaduct and beyond. We had decent signal, and it was level so stayed for 2 nights. Would definitely come back to this spot! All spots are under the trees (some with low hanging branches) so if you are reliant on solar that day you will struggle.

  • 5/5

Pretty and quiet with lovely walks. stopped here for lunch and a walk but would definitely stay overnight

  • 5/5

Nice and quiet. one other van parked up.

  • 5/5

A great little spot! Plenty of bays to chose from, and all quite protected in this little bay. Some noise from the road but didn’t notice it overnight, only during the afternoon / evening while cooking dinner. Close to Haltwhistle where you can get plenty of supplies from the co-op.

  • 5/5

Excellent stopover with plenty of walking - managed a circular walk of 9 miles taking in the Viaduct was he South Tyne Trail and the Pennine Way

  • 5/5

Fantastic location. We stayed last night and were the only ones there, after the last walkers left about 7pm. The only noises we had were the owls! Lovely walks straight from the site.

  • 5/5

Great place, quiet, lovely walks, lovely pub along the walk just 15min walk from here. just wish people wouldn't leave thier rubbish here it will end up another place closed to us all.

  • 5/5

Only stayed over one night, Saturday to Sunday, so traffic was minimal. Highly recommend taking a walk to the Viaduct, fantastic views and the most epic game of 'Poo Sticks' you will ever have!

  • 5/5

Very little traffic noise (we stayed Sunday night to Monday morning). Lovely trail heading in either direction and the Viaduct is a must to see, it's one epic game of 'Poo sticks'!

  • 5/5

First stop off on trip to scotland very quite spot. Nice walks along trail would recommend as if busy there are a coule more options nearby.good overnight stay.

  • 3/5

Sehr ruhiger Platz zum Schlafen. Am Vormittag Spaziergänger mit Hunden.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Quiet night. A few walkers during the day.
