Great stopover. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Had a meal in the pub Wednesday pie and a pint night , excellent pie, proper pastry £15.95. Really quiet night next to the goats, great entertainment, will definitely be back . Level car park no facilities

Fab stop over in the lower carpark where you can see some cute goats, you don't even have to purchase anything from the pub but glad we went in for food which was very nice, as we then found out there was an Oasis tribute band on that evening, ( bonus) staff very friendly and helpful. Motorhome spaces for 6 maybe 7 I dint count, we will return

They’re friendly pub good space toilets during pub hours , dog friendly will offer water and biscuits for our fury friends, freshwater tap for topping up. well priced meals Wednesday to Sunday.. live music on a weekend. Chris night Tuesdays. on the bus route to derby city centre or down to Leicester . no pressure to leave as long as make use of the pub meals and bar

Great place to stay not far off M1. Large flat car park that can take 7m+ motorhomes. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly. Now serving food Thursday-Saturday evenings until 8pm. Nice walks to village and along canal.

Only snacks available at the pub when we were there. Parking is fine, if a little noisy.

Absolut hervorragender Platz mit dem nettesten Pub Besitzer Englands. Am Dienstag ist Quizabend. Wer da übernachten möchte, muss mitmachen. Familiäre Atmosphäre. Spaß garantiert. Parkplatz mit liebevoll eingerichtetem Ziegengehege daneben.

This pub is now open again and welcomes over night stays if you buy a few drinks in the pub. They don’t serve meals as such but do a cracking pork pie !

I'm local and this pub is now closed and boarded up. Try the Clock Warehouse just up the road.

Got here tonight and the pub is boarded up. The pub no longer seems to be operating. The parking is open with cars parked, but I'm unsure whether I'm allowed to stop for the night.

Friendly staff, great for overnight parking all they ask is to please give them some custom. Worth phoning to check before.

NOT ANYMORE. Just been in to ask and was told they’re not allowed to do it anymore. Advised to try a car park further along.

We stayed here last night, landlord was a lovely guy and even offered us to use the EHU. Wasn’t serving food but we did use the bar out of decency but wasn’t stated we had to. There was also another vehicle camping too. Toilets only available when the pub is open. Overall a good night/stay for us :)

Good spot friendly staff nice village dog friendly pubs

Stayed here on 16/01/2022. Lovely friendly landlord. Unfortunately they don’t do food but drinks were very good value and enjoyed a game of pool. The Landlord recommended a pub close by for food but still happy for us to stay. Large car park and plenty of room. You can hear the motorway in the background but thoroughly recommend as a stop over.

A very quiet place behind the pub with enough place for parking your motorhome. Had come in late last night and left early so couldn't drop in the pub. Thank you to the team who have kept this space free! :)

Got here late on around 10.30pm 8/07/21 it was ideal. Got a pint and went to sleep. Loads of room and about 4 campers there. Friendly bar staff.

Stayed here on the 13/06/2021 . few other vans but plenty of room . pub wasn't serving food at this time but we enjoyed a drink . would recommend.

We stayed here in 2020 it was lovely a short walk from Shardlow marina. We had a couple of drinks and had a lovely peaceful nights sleep
