Stayed overnight. Pretty area, lots of ducks milling about. A couple of dogging cars turned up at night but left when they realised I wasn't playing. Sounds of birds, trees and ducks in the morning. Peaceful.

Lovely, peaceful area. Felt very safe. Nice picnic area too. Didn't get too busy at any point. Main road set behind trees, although this didn't shield the noise too well, we've experienced much worse road noises. Very quiet through late evening till dawn. Otherwise occasional bouts of traffic. Food truck arrives 7.30am +/- seems reasonable value though we didn't use it. Would definitely return.

Stayed one night, arrived at dusk; there was one C-class and a PVC. Found a level spot. There was a little bit of road noise, but slept fine. The food van was busy the next morning. If, when leaving, you intend to head towards Bridlington, use the exit on the west side as your view up and down the road is better, and you will then travel downhill as you enter the road.

Very peaceful nights sleep even though it is so close to a main road it's screened by trees so you don't really hear the passing traffic. Sadly the food van wasn't there though .. very disappointed by that :-(

great place, quiet night, clean, extra bonus picnic tables and hot dishes from Foottrak

Great overnight spot with picnic tables. Highly recommend the food wagon.

Enjoyed three nights here - good bins, cafe trailer which looks like lovely food but I didn’t actually try, and quiet nights sleep.

Awesome stop over. Lovely little chalk stream flows under the road. Lots of bird life, even spotted a Kingfisher. Sarnie van there even on a Sunday.

this is a great park for night quite and a lot of spaces. Traffic noise minor. picnic area with benches. we were here 30/12/2024. we got here at 17.30 pm cars stopping here on and off till 23.00PM but quite.

Perfect for one night and got breakfast burgers in the morning! Nice shaded pull out area long enough for multiple vans/RVs. Signal poor inside van. Trash bins around. Short trails and picnic areas in the woods nearby. Can hear highway noise but not bad. Level grounds and some muddy areas but not bad at all. Nothing suspicious here. Would stay again.

Nice picnic area, large and fairly level parking. Some noise from the road but didn't bother us. Nice butty van came at 8am. We did a litter pick too as there was plenty of bins provided. Well shielded from road by trees.

Very strange place, think it’s becoming a dogging place. VERY busy in a morning burger van pulls up and has music very loud music. Stopped one night wouldn’t recommend won’t stop again

Nice spot with nice walks / runs right next to it. But very noisy throughout the night from all the traffic going along the main road (this is a lay-by literally just next to the main road) and noisy and busy early in the morning with lorry drivers coming through to get butties.

Great spot that's pretty popular but very quiet at night. Lovely picnic area and amazing butty van in the morning. Really handy stop over on our way down from Whitby!

29/07/22 - Great park up plenty of spaces somewhat flat. Tucked nicely away from the road. Picnic benches and bins there too. Butty van also which was a bonus. There’s the St Quintin Arms a short walk away nice little pub. Quiet and peaceful night.

Nice place to pull up for the night. No bother from any one. Gets noisy from the traffic about 5 though. It’s good to have an off road place to walk the dog in too.

  • 5/5

very nice and quiet lay-by with a bin, definitely use again, loads of room for all size campers

  • 5/5

Peaceful and quiet nights sleep. Note the flattest part in the centre of the lay-by is where the burger van parks. Woke up bumper to bumper and to a fabulous smell.

Stayed here a couple of times now. Great large sheltered layby with plenty of parking set back of main road and tasty breaky rolls from the Butty Van.

  • 3/5

Large layby tucked behind trees. good for overnighting and has burger van which sells hot food and homemade cake! small picnic area.

  • 5/5

Spent last night here. Really quiet, has a little picnic area and got myself a sausage butty this morning from the van.

  • 5/5

Really quiet night considering it is a main road and a great breakfast from John and Silvia when they turned up in their burger van.

  • 5/5

Nice quiet night , burger van arrives atound 0700 so can be the odd it of traffic but otherwise ok .

  • 4/5

A nice quiet layby, very large, loads of room. A good quiet night and no hassle. Food van there in the morning

  • 5/5

Excellent quiet space to stop, just off main road. Postcode takes you to incorrect area on Google maps but easy to find. Stopped here 2 nights and just 15 minutes into Bridlington

  • 5/5

Stayed here a couple of nights, it’s tucked behind the tree line so very sheltered from the elements.
