Good flat large car park, free parking great place to base to get to reservoir/ go for walks. Not sure if id stay again, very very busy during the day and night, very noisy all hours people leaving lots of rubbish no bins, signs to say police patrolling but wasn’t any last night.

Fairly level parking. Busy daytime but quiet overnight. Great walks from car park.

Great spot, we spent one night here and there was another motorhome and a large crafter camper van. Nice and quiet from around 9/10pm

  • 5/5

No signs anywhere. We spent a very quiet Friday night along with another van. Dog walkers in the morning. Delightful spot 10 minutes walk from the reservoir.

  • 4/5

Beautiful to wake up near the reservoir. Nice and easy to get to with lots of level parking spaces. Expect vehicle noise and green-laners until midnight. Dog walkers from 6am, even on a Tuesday morning, friendly ones! A very busy area for dog walks as the reservoir is gorgeous.

Stopped on a Tuesday night, very quiet overnight, only 1 other van there. Great location for walks around the beck. Dog walkers started arriving in their cars around 7:30am. Would stop again and recommend.

Excellent stop off for the night, just us and one other Motorhome and very quiet. Visited by a flock of sheep in the morning coming down from the hills to get a drink out of the stream. We will certainly use this place again

It is a lovely spot. Unfortunately, we were here on a Friday night and had a succession of cars pulling in literally all night. some coming and going, others parked and sat in their cars. Not a good night!

Very quiet night after day visitors left. Lovely walk around Cod Beck.

great place to stop. level, 4g, bubbling stream, views are amazing, middle of nowhere. easy to park and easy to get to.

Toller Stop für eine Nacht. Ruhig und genug Platz (kamen erst spät an aber genügend Platz trotz parkender Autos). Morgens wird man von Schafen geweckt. Uns hat das nicht gestört. Schöne Spazierwege.

Love it here except for the 5.45am ‘wake up call’ by about 10 sheep/lambs bleating around us! Cattle grid area so not fenced. Great walks but husband got puncture straying from the wide pathway on his bike. Grateful that it is free and they allow overnight parking. 5 campervans stayed last night. Felt safe. Access by single track road with few passing places so Summer could be more difficult in MH

Stopped by looking for place to stop. Decided not to spend night in end as was just too busy - we'd stumbled into a local young group nature challenge and they were all still milling around gone 9pm. However it was a sizeable park and flat so likely would be a good stop typically. Pleasant walk around the resevoir took us less than 1hr to complete. Nice green views. Signal (EE) was fine.

  • 5/5

We only stayed for the day. I'm sure overnight would have been fine though. Good sized car park, flat spaces and good phone signal (EE). We found a bin in the slightly smaller car park next door. Busy all day with dog walkers and hikers. Lovely looking walk around the resovoir.

Great place to stop and explore, either walking or mountain biking. I believe the car park is the drop off point for The Lyke Wake Walk, so can be noisy overnight with cars and vans stopping to drop people off for the start of the long distance walk to Ravenscar.

Peaceful and flat place to stay, good signal on EE. Lots of dog walkers in the morning but very friendly. Nice walk around the reservoir, great if you have a dog.

Great place to stay. Busy weekends. Lovely lake to walk around and possible to walk to the village for the shop, pub, coffee etc. plenty of walking options. We visited the lady chapel nearby the village.

nice spot but very busy, not great road for a motor home, beautiful and green, great walk for the dog.

  • 4/5

Great spot. Loads of walks in all directions. went on a Saturday and it was extremely busy. Couldn't get parked up until 6pm and last of cars didn't leave until 9.30pm. Starts to get busy with dog walkers from 7am. Only other downside was a car parking up about 2am with engine running permanently and car doors slamming for nearly 2 hours.

Beautiful spot. Didn’t hear a sound all night. Lovely walk around the reservoir. Lots of dog walkers. No bins so let’s keep this treasure of a park up pristine.

  • 5/5

Very peaceful location for a stopover, nothing man-made to be seen, very dark skies at night and (in mid-December at least!) only hardy dog-walkers first thing. Best sleep ever here.

  • 2/5

Very busy car park. But nice for a one night stopover. If you drive a bit further there’s a tiny spot on the left hand side with a magnificent view. (There’s is no “no parking” sign here!)

Parked here , perfect spot for a walk during the day. Full of families and dog walkers. However the car park filled up with ‘boy racer’ types around 7.30. Trying to wheel spin on the gravel car park and racing along the narrow roads. Worse still , at 12.45 am two cars pulled up and several men with flash lights were acting very strangely . We decided to make a quick exit , feeling very uneasy .
