very nice Spot.. a little hard to find.. cause Google Shows it later..so watch out before you reach the Spot.. go slow..

Lovely little parking by the canal. Turning from the road is pretty sharp, but not a problem for a van or a shorter motorhome with an experienced driver, one parked next to us. Even though it doesn't look like it, it's very close to a road (separated only by a few trees), so it can get pretty busy and noisy until late, but peaceful at night.

Lovely place, be careful with low clearance.

Easily accessible with a car. Main road is located directly above the parking lot so there is some traffic noise. No facilities, only a bin. Locals were jogging and fishing in the area.

guter Ort für eine Nacht, aber.... Die Einfahrt ist als Rechtsabbieger nicht zu machen, ohne sich den Unterboden zu zerfetzen, und als Linksabbieger immer noch gefährlich und von der Straße leicht zu übersehen.

Le chemin d’accès est trop cabossé pour pouvoir y passer sans laisser un bout du bus, nous continuons notre chemin de l’autre côté de là mer… Peut-être avec un 4x4.

Spot superbe , plutôt calme et gratuit , rare pour la région d'Édimbourg. Mais attention... on peut facilement manquer l'entrée et surtout celle-ci est descendante sur 3 m avec une bosse. Nous sommes entrés par petits pas . Vous risquez d'abîmer pot d'échappement, réservoirs et évacuations sous châssis. Le pot de notre Ranger R600 est passé, 2 cm à peine de marge !!

Was a bit of a tip when I got there. Tidied up as much as I could, got three small bin bags full of cans, bottles, vapes and other questionable items. Had a peaceful night though, with no disturbance.

Great little spot, only one other van there when we arrived. perfect for walking along the canal and there is a dog poo bin which is convenient. Careful about using the postcode provided (at the time of writing: EH49 6QE) as it will take you to a private road/address).

Spot très calme. L'accès nécessite une certaine dextérité mais vraiment sympa!

Kleiner Parkplatz am Fluss. Zufahrt etwas schmal aber mit T4 Bus und Hänger (2,05 m und 9 m Länge) gut machbar. Ruhig trotz Straße nebenan, nur ein weiterer Van stand mit uns dort. Das Avon Äquadukt steht keine 15 Minuten Fußweg den Fluss abwärts entlang. Toller Spaziergang mit und ohne Hund. Mülltonnen direkt neben dem Platz vorhanden. Klasse Ort für einen Zwischenstopp

Good stop for a self contained van, tight turn in in our LWB Sprinter (7m) but managed it coming from the town with Sea Scouts building on our left. Nice walk along the canal and easy access to the town for sights and shops.

Très bon spot ! À l’abris des regards et au bord du cour d’eau, ce lieu est parfait pour se ressourcer. Faire attention à ne pas louper l’entrée

Vraiment galère à trouver... pas facile de manoeuvrer ou faire demi tour avec les gens qui roulent super vite dans le coin ! Sinon une fois sur le parking c'est presque plat et assez calme excepté le bruit de la route le matin

Trop compliqué avec un camping car, chaussée endommagée (gros trous) . Entrée trop étroite je déconseille.

El sitio esta bien para la vuelta antes de entregar la camper. Noche tranquila, si que hay algo mas de ruido de carretera por la mañana. Como en otros comentarios, aparecieron los de la clase de kayak :) Es verdad que hubo un par de movimientos sospechosos, un chaval con el coche tuneado, se vino con una caña de pescar, estuvo 10minutos supuestamente pescando en el rio y se fue…

super coin. Ne pas rater l'entrée qui est assez étroite. Pas de souci avec un fourgon de 2,30 de large. Moustiques en soirée :normal près de l'eau. École de kayak le matin avec 2 fourgons et 2 remorques de kayak: très gentils, ils ont navigué sur le parking entre les 3 camping cars pour se poser. Penser à laisser la place pour les promeneurs de chiens aussi ☺️.

Jolie place en gravillon, vue magnifique sur le canal et les pâturages en face! Passée une bonne nuit au calme avant de rentrer sur Édimbourg. Quand vous arrivez, tournez à gauche juste un peu avant la destination atteinte sur Google Maps. C'est un bout de route un peu raide et caillouteux mais après à droite, beau coin caché ;)

Absolutely gorgeous location but extremely steep and narrow on entry and the exit - be cautious! Quiet through the night. We watched canal boats pass by and a school of kayakers used the car park for launching. We're 7.5m long with rear air suspension but nearly grounded on exit so I'd say it's suitable for vans rather than MHs.

Access was not easy to find in the dark, but the spot itself is spacious enough for 2-3 vans. Nice morning walk along the canal to the aqueduct and down to the river. Fairly quiet during the night, but you could hear the road well in the morning/during the day.

A nice river spot. Quite enough, little to no litter when we were there. We found the entrance fairly easily, but it's quite steep and a little bumpy, so take care when entering.

Nice little spot with a lovely view. It was tricky to find, you need to turn down the track next to the cottage and drive next to the canal for a bit to get to it. Road was quite noisy as you're not that far back from it, and there was a car that turned up to meet with a couple of other of cars, but didn't cause us any nuisance and didn't stay too late.

stayed here for the night. was lovely. bit tricky to actually find. need to turn off the road right nxet to the little cottage. negatives were trash dumped in a corner and for a few hours, you g lads in cars blasting music. but after about 11pm it was silent

Great spot for night. Very quiet and far from highway. Yes, you can hear a road nearby but there isn’t much traffic in the evening. There is canal right next to this spot. And you have a lovely view on cows.

It's a great spot for the night. It's secluded enough and if you enjoy, you can have nice walks alongside the water. You can still hear the noise of the road, but it goes quiet at night. The entrance and exit requires some caution, since it is narrow and stip. We had a great quiet night on our own.

Super coin au top du top. Entrée étroite mais le spot est top. Petite voie qui rejoindrait (paraît il) de Glasgow à Edinburgh en longeant le canal... À vos vélos.!

Petit parking en terre au bord du canal de l'union avec de la place pour une dizaine de vanns. La route est proche mais bien cachée par les arbres et peu passante la nuit, une poubelle et balade possible au bord du canal. La 4g est disponible. Bon trip à trop à tous !!

Despite what they say below, we managed to drive in and out with a large camperhome (12m and 5200kg total, frontwheel drive). the spot is large enough for a few more camperhomes.

very nice place for a quiet overnight stop, woke to lots of rooks calling and sheep baaing. The Union canal is lovely in the morning plus the Avon aquaduct is less than a kilometer along the canal towpath. After 08:00 starts to get noisy as next to main road (but well hidden).

The entry is now very eroded and now requires you to drive down two steps at the bottom of a very steep drive. We were uncomfortable driving down and having to drive back up it with front wheel drive so we backed out and found another place to stop. Also, the driveway has a number of very low hanging branches to negotiate.

Nice place to stay for the night. A lot of sheep and birds. Very little traffic at night. No facilities.

Car park is not visible from the road but still right next to it separated by a wall and shrubs, so you can hear the road. We slept well though. Beautiful and safe spot by the canal. The entrance is easily missed

Great place by the canal! Perfect for walks or cycling. It is near the road, but the noise didn't bother us. We didn't find it straight away, the entrance is a bit hidden.

Endroit sympa mais très bruyant, proche de la route avec beaucoup de passage.

Amazing hidden gem next to the beautiful canal. Surrounded by nature and the sound of birds. Feels very safe, quiet and cozy - just what we needed after a few days in Edinburgh.

Entrance can be easy to miss, its next to a scout hut through 2 bollards, check google earth and its quite obvious, very large or wide motorhomes would struggle to get in. lovely spot, few walkers and cyclists in the day, quiet at night. Can walk along towpath to cafe up the canal.

Parfait pour une nuit au calme. Un peu de circulation mais a l’abri du bruit quand même.

Wie viele schon geschrieben haben, ist die Zufahrt ziemlich versteckt. Einmal gefunden hat man aber einen super Parkplatz für die Nacht. Direkt an einem Kanal und auf der anderen Seite eine Kuhweide. Ein Mülleimer ist auch vorhanden. Man kann am Kanal super mit dem Hund gehen. Klare Empfehlung!

die Einfahrt ist genau vor der kleinen Parkbucht, wenn man aus Linithgow kommt. nicht wundern, es sieht eher aus wie ein Fahrradweg führt aber zu einem ruhigen Parkplatz:)

Aparcament molt tranquil al costat de la carretera però totalment ocult. Passa un carril bici al costat del riu just a sota. Com diuen els comentaris, entrar entre una pilona de fusta i un mur de pedra al costat de l’edifici dels scouts

pas facile a trouvé dans un premier temps ,bien prendre petite entrée entre poteau et mur en pierre ensuite au fond a droite ,bel emplacement le long de la Rivière avec piste cyclable .tres calme .

Petit parking très difficile à trouver mais une fois dessus, beaucoup de place pour 3 vans. Prendre le petit sentier qui longe la rivière. L entrée se trouve entre un poteau en bois et une grosse pierre au sol, juste à droite avant la bâtisse servant aux scouts du West Lothian en venant de Belsyde.

Got here in the evening and struggled to find the spot pictured. There was a layby just before where this is supposed to be and potentially a track that may lead to this park up but it looked like it may be someones driveway as passed a house at the start of it so we gave it a miss and parked elsewhere. Maybe easier to find in the day?

Nice space next to the canals. Plenty of space for parking.

Es wurden Barrieren in den Weg gelegt, somit kann man nicht mehr auf diesen Platz fahren. Lieber einen anderen suchen.
