Perfect spot to park up if you’re interested in heading into the town for some food/drinks. Bathrooms and showers open 24/7 and really clean. Restaurant at marina does great breakfast.

  • 3/5

August 29, 2025 We stopped here to see about spending the night, but they were having a fundraiser that night, and it was going to be VERY BUSY. The toilet and shower facilities were good, but the places you would park were very small, backing up against a wall and crowded in with others. We didn't find much else in the area with acceptable facilites, so that could make this an attractive spot.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

I can only reiterate what’s been said previously. An excellent stop. Only downside the bar restaurant doesn’t open on Tuesday or Wednesday.

  • 5/5

€10 per night, €15 at weekends. Plenty of comings and goings in daytime but quiet at night. Coffee shack and sauna facility. Marina has a bar restaurant but it wasn’t very clean so didn’t use it. Toilet and shower was basic but satisfactory. Grey, black waste and fresh water and bins. Easy walk into town and challenging walks into the hills.

  • 5/5

Volveremos seguro !!

  • 5/5

Lovely friendly vibe, thanks to campers, locals and fantastic marina staff. Fresh water, waste/toilet/rubbish facilities. Showers/toilets open 24/7. Vanity counter with 2 double sockets in women's toilet. Price €10pn midweek, €15 weekends. Marina bar serves tasty food at reasonable prices but opening hours vary. Board games/pool table. Right on greenway. Fabulous views. No EHU.

  • 5/5

Convenient parking at marina, nice view looking at boats. Friendly welcome, pay at marina office, €10 in week, 15€ at weekend. Cafe closed Tuesday/Wednesday but 10 minute walk into town with wide variety of eateries. Can cycle or walk along Greenway into Omeath or beyond to Newry. Was quiet overnight, about 8 motorhomes in total night we were there.

  • 5/5

first time here €10 per night 24hr toilets, showers. Marina bar/restaurant on site & a short walk into Carlingford.

  • 5/5

Great Motorhome stopover, very reasonable, showers, toilets, water and emptying and waste bins. Overlooking the Marina, lots of spaces. We had a lovely walk into town and loved it, plenty of bars, lovely friendly people, lots to see there also. Highly recommended.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last Friday night. Lovely spot, busy. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Good facilities

  • 5/5

Great stop over. very busy at the weekend. but the food in the restaurant was great. need leveling blocks and I wouldn't want to be here in anything more than 8m in length. There's grey water and elsan facilities. Didnt find the showers but there were toilets too.

  • 1/5

Had planned to stay here tonight. Checking the website it said the marina office was open till 6 but no one was picking up. I think this is a winter/summer problem. The happy reviews have been in summer. If you’re thinking of this one, I’d advise phoning early.

  • 5/5

Für ein zwei Nächte völlig Ok...

  • 5/5

Good park up for the night. Easy walk into town, plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants. Restaurant/bar at the marina closed at 5pm unfortunately. Opening hours on Google incorrect. Toilet and shower facilities decent. Definitely be back if ever in the area again. €10 this time of year (Feb). I was in a VW California by the way, a reviewer on here said they had a bad experience in one.

  • 5/5

Stayed 1 night - bar & restaurant was closed this time of year but quiet night & they had bathroom & shower facilities - handy wee stop & helpful staff

  • 5/5

Stayed here on Monday night. Great view. Girl in office very friendly and helpful. Great walk way. Will be back.

  • 5/5

Excellent view, decent facilities, restaurant next door is dog friendly. Greenway runs down beside the lough so plenty of space to stretch your legs, nice atmosphere for staying overnight.

  • 1/5

  • 5/5

stayed here monday night €10 at marina office, v.nice welcome. parked at the back beside the boat yard, near grey / black water (heavy manhole cover). cycled to omeath on greenway, lovely guinness there in Howes (€4.80! bargain). marina very quiet at night, food finishes in bar at 5pm mid-week, & closed tue/wed. great toilets/showers, and sauna Hot Pod available next door.

  • 5/5

Beautiful view of the marina. Quiet and peaceful sleep. Short walk to village. €10.00 midweek. Use of toilets showers grey and black water rubbish disposal and laundry facilities available. Call to marina office on arrival. Park beside dog washing facility. Right on the greenway. Will be back.

  • 1/5

I arrived and looked around to see the facilities, I didn’t find anywhere to empty chemicals, no one around to help, I left

  • 5/5

After 3 weeks travelling around Ireland this was my favourite. I admit the views are the best if you're in the car park but it's nice and quiet and as a woman travelling solo absolutely everyone was so welcoming. The pub/restaurant at the marina is very dog friendly and the food is excellent. I ate 4 meals there over the week. dog wash and bike here available there too. just perfect

  • 5/5

Perfect spot. I agree with all the other comments. It’s a nice safe 15 minute walk into the town with lots of bars and excellent fish and chip shop. 15€ with free use of the showers.

  • 5/5

Top. Gratuit en pleine journée ?

  • 5/5

Lovely location. Black and grey water disposal. Shower with hot water, free. Laundry services washer dryer and iron, coin operated. People were very friendly and helpful on site. Very peaceful overnight. Hotbox sauna on site, well worth a visit, with steps down to sea in sheltered area. Restaurant and bar in marina. Carlingford lovely town, 12 to 15 min walk, nice buzz even on a Wednesday.

  • 5/5

Beautiful location, peaceful night. Easy walk to the castle, Lough & town. Very popular with other vans! Pay at restaurant-€15 at weekends. Food in restaurant very good, staff very friendly.

  • 4/5

Kein Strom. Waschmaschine/Trockner á 4€.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot to park up week nights are €10 a night weekends are €15 … no electric hookup … grey water waste and showers and toilets didn’t use them myself but looked ok and clean enough

  • 4/5

Pleasant stay here, quiet Monday night off peak. All amenities closed except for toilet and grey water dump, open next morning. Safe and sheltered. Short walk to town, but again nothing open. Would be glad to come back again.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

nice view over Carlingford louch . All amenities available, good night stay for €15

  • 4/5

Marina has a row of parking spots for at least qty 40 campers almost all have views. 10 min walk 900M to the lively. town center. 2023 Sept weekend was busy and comfortable and the marina cafe/bar has a gorgeous view. I would come back here.

  • 4/5

  • 2/5

while the view was amazing. The rest of the experience was not. Nobody was helpful. nobody in the office during business hours, nobody answered the phone when called. Next morning, office still closed. walked around, nobody offered to help when I was looking lady in the restaurant was very helpful and pointed out the 2 blokes watching me rattle the front office all morning were the management.

  • 4/5

We stayed on 18/4/23 and this was our second visit. Has black and grey waste and water available in the port area between 9am and 5pm. Euro15 per night, pay at harbour office. Toilets and showers available 24/7 which are fine to use and electric socket in ladies. No EHU, park anywhere on harbour side, lovely view, greenway North from the marina for walk. Walk South into Carlingford takes 20mins.

  • 4/5

Good well run. We arrived about 6.30pm on Fri of early May Bank Holiday. About 15 there, we parked nearer entrance parallel to road away from any potential noise from bar. Didn't need chocks. Showers(2) and toilets a bit old and tired but OK. Services in yd only while manned 9-7ish. Drive over grey. Black in manhole. Water tap to side. €15 pn. Great views of lough and mountains. No barrier

  • 4/5

Room for 20+ motorhomes. Restaurant and bar to reopen 17th March. Feels safe, pleasant and helpful staff

  • 2/5

Stayed 2 nights but wish I hadn't the outdated, dirty, cold shower and toilet. I'm sorry but €15 euros isn't ideal and before you leave get a barrier token or you can't leave. Noise from the bar late at night doesn't help. Not signed well for grey waste and cassette waste. Come on Ireland raise the quality and cleanliness of motorhome stops.

  • 4/5

A l’étage bar animé. Génial !

  • 3/5

  • 4/5

Nice place for a stopover, beautiful view, has bar and restaurant on site,Greenway for a walk next to it,toilets, showers, laundry, like previous comments the showers are very outdated and need a complete refurbishment but for €15 a night it's grand.

  • 5/5

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, 15€ für eine Nacht mit Entsorgung von Grau- und Schwarzwasser, Frischwasser und Müllentsorgung.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night along with 14 other MH and vans, clean and tidy, great view of the harbour, food, entertainment, toilets and showers in the marina building and 5 mins from the town with all its facilities, we will be back.

  • 5/5

Lovely stay here. Easy parking. Very quiet. Some cars come to walk on 5km seaside walkway. Good emptying facilities. You need a hose for fresh water. Town is easy walking distance. Town is very nice to visit and lots of curiosity shops and places to eat.

  • 5/5

Great spot to stop over. Fab views and very welcoming. Watched some live music in the bar with a couple of pints of Guinness.

  • 5/5

10 mins from town. A better route than the main road is to cross over at the entrance to the marina and walk up the hill. Theres a footpath this way and it takes you to the town centre. Parking is grand, but you may need levelling chucks.

  • 5/5

Great stop over and beautiful views €15 per night with showers, toilet and Motorhome’s services Quite park up highly recommended

  • 5/5

Great spot with view of the marina and Mourne mountains. Fee is 15 euros but good facilities offered for campers incl free use of showers and toilets. All very clean and friendly. Just off the Greenway to Omeath. 15 min walk into Carlingford village.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

A real find. A bonus is that the on site Indian Restaurant (The Sitar). Very classy with excellent food and served to you with a friendly smile. There is also a lovely bar alongside the restaurant. 10% off food in restaurant / bar if you are staying in a motorhome. You can take dogs into the bar and order restaurant food to eat in there. Well worth a visit.

  • 4/5

Great place. We’re here with about 10 other Irish motorhomes on a Saturday night. Town is 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride from here. Cute town. Lots going on tonight with hen parties and other fun stuff. Toilets with toilet paper and nice soap to wash your hands. Showers look good and will try them tomorrow. Staff onsite over the weekend. Trash, chemical toilet dump, grey water also available. 10 euros. Backed in and nice view out our front windows of the marina and boats. Green way for biking or hiking is here too. Nice 7.5 km route to next town. Also possible to take the Carlingford Ferry to Greenore with a car or bike.

  • 5/5
