Great place to stay. Pub was lovely after a long day waking. Food was exceptional and the staff were very friendly.

  • 3/5

Great parking for vans/campers, hook up for vans at a cost. Bit gutted as pub does not allow dogs when serving food so keep in mind if you have doggos.

Second time staying here but first with my camper, I stayed in a tent here after a rock night a few years ago. The staff were really friendly and the beer was great. The food looked lovely but I had already eaten so that will have to wait for the next visit. There were other vans/caravans here to spend the night and electrical hookup was offered but not needed. Will definitely visit again soon.

Brilliant place, brilliant service, top food, made us very welcome highly recommended and will come again.

Stopped one night. Everyone was friendly. They said there was a function on the night, but we didn't hear it. Great walk to the Ramshaw rocks.

  • 3/5

Lovely pub and friendly staff, we ate and had a couple of drinks here and paid to stay overnight in the car park. Water was switched off - had to ask a couple of times for it to be switched on. Door to the elsan point was locked, so we didn’t get to empty our toilet before leaving. Door to the toilet was also locked. Why have these services if guests can’t even use them? Weak signal on EE & o2.

Good pub stopover. £5 with no electric. No overnight toilet facilities open due to time of year. Great food and beer choices. Mostly quiet night apart from odd loud car, good location.

Still £15 for a pitch including electric, water and waste disposal! Still £5 a bar meal! Again super friendly staff, very helpful and great place to recharge the batteries and replen the water..

  • 5/5

Superb stop over, the staff are so welcoming, the food is basic but very good, live band last Friday of the month, we will definitely be going back

Had a great stay here last weekend. Helpful staff, a few campers on the car park. Food was beautiful.

Excellent find. perfect for local walks. £15 with EHU, we ate in the pub and had £5 discounted from our bill. spotlessly clean and excellent food, friendly staff, beautiful views. Will definitely be staying here again when in this area.

Great stopover, £15 with ehu, and £5 off your bar bill, can't be bad. Food was very good and reasonable prices. Fantastic views to wake up to.

  • 5/5

Fantastic location and nice friendly pub. Great stop to recharge and discharge.

  • 5/5

Great pub car park, quiet location, great views from Pub. Port a loo outside which was really clean. Staff inside was friendly. will definitely stay again.

  • 5/5

Great food, good Covid restrictions. facilities were good: electric, water and Elsan £15 per night on good pitch. Priceless views. Stayed 2 nights.

  • 5/5

Free overnight parking if eating in the pub, very friendly and welcoming staff, beautiful scenery and lovely pub grub. Will definitely stay again, little road noise but 5/5 from me.

  • 4/5

Good pitches. Friendly pub staff. Tiny bit of noise from road as pub is in corner of 2 roads

  • 5/5

£5 to park for the night (plenty) or £15 with EHU and water (4 spaces) Had tea in the pub, good pub grub. Use of pub toilets until closing (10pm on Sunday) and portaloo at night. Stunning views, would reccomend if you are starting out 'wild' camping as added safety of toilets, food and no fear of being moved on.

  • 5/5

Stopped for 1 night and the place is fantastic. Plenty of spaces for campers of various sizes. 4 hook up points. Hook up, £15 per night, non Hook up £10. Discount on both if you eat in the pub. Toilets in the pub can be used while the pub is open. After that, a good old 'Thunder Box' (builders toilet) is available, very clean with toilet paper/paper hand towels and a soap dispenser and sink.

Lovely friendly, helpful staff. Food was lovely

  • 5/5

Friendly owner for the pub. Happy for us to stay as we went in and used the pub. Good space for vans (we didn’t need ehu but there was no one else there anyway). Worth noting that they have signs saying that they’re closed on Mondays, apart from summer bank holiday.

  • 4/5

Great stop over, excellent Food and Fri night Rock night is well worth a visit

  • 5/5

Lovely meal and beautiful scenery. Staying here tonight, will definitely be back

  • 5/5

Great location and great traditional food. owners very friendly.

  • 5/5

Very friendly and excellent food and only £10 for ehu

  • 5/5

A very welcoming staff, food is decent pub grub and there’s no cost to stay unless you want hook-up (which is £10). There’s an outside loo too. Obviously goes without saying that a few drinks/meal pays for your stay. Location and views are fantastic. Well worth a visit if you want a stay in this area. Would suggest calling ahead in high season to book your pitch if you want hook up and maybe to reserve a table for food. They stop taking orders on a Saturday for instance at 20:45.
