Day park here or just past here you can day park & night park. £2 day £10 the night. Right near the Kelpies. Toilets near. Cafe in season. Can hear traffic but with this view, who cares!

  • 5/5

Stayed overnight just £10. toilets were open all night. gate was lock at 8pm opened at 7am with a one way emergency exit if needed. man came round at 7pm to collect payment by card was very helpful. Definitely recommend staying.

  • 5/5

Stopped here overnight, the parking attendant was not here on arrival (Wooden hut on the left before carbpark) but he knocked on the van at 18:30. Paid £10.00 on a card machine, and had an A4 ticket for the windscreen, and a bumper sticker for the collection. Wind was westerley so no noise from M9, and the toilets open all night.

  • 4/5

Go passed first car Park and enter second large one by the wooden hut. We paid online the person at the hut gave us the info but they are only there 5-8 pm £10 to stay the night , quiet apart from obvious road noise from adjacent motorway. 2 others motohomes 17/11

  • 4/5

Flat parking, £10 to stay overnight with 24 hours use of the toilets, and people at the gate were really nice. Lovely walks around the area and super cool to see the Kelpies lit up at night. Only downside is the hum of noise from the motorway and the carpark is busy/noisy when the gates are open.

  • 3/5

  • 4/5

Continue to the end of the road to find the overnight car park. It’s £10 for an overnight, clean toilets, very busy until 10pm but when the gates closes at 10 it’s just campers and motor homes. There is an emergency exit if needed. There was loud music coming from somewhere but I can sleep anywhere, so it didn’t bother me. The kelpies are amazing when lit up at night. Quite a nice place to stay.

  • 1/5

NO OVERNIGHT PARKING. Carry on to the big parking area close to the Kelpies for overnight parking £10 night. App doesn't let me mark it on the map but it's just 300 metres further on.

  • 5/5

£10 overnight charge. 24hr toilets. Great park up right next to the Kelpies. You get buy one get one free tea/coffee if you stay overnight.

  • 5/5

This is the official parking lot for The Kelpies. The gates close at 22:00, and they open again at 7:00. There’s a slip road from which you can exit at any other time. There are 24-hour toilets, no showers. The parking lot lights turn off at 23:00. You can view The Kelpies from your rear window! Tons of spaces, easily space for 20-30 campers. Cost is £10 for overnight parking, but easily worth it!

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot. Very efficient and well maintained. A great overnight spot. The night views of the kelpies is awe inspiring and a wee stroll takes you right to them. I don't understand the poor reviews about the traffic noise. Yes there's traffic noise, its close to a town, but it is great spot and a fantastic experience.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Friendly parking attendants & view of the kelpies from our van, lovely at night. Road noise didn’t bother us, nice stop after also visiting the wheel.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Parked in carpark nearest Kelpies as motorhomes are directed there now. £2 until 5pm additional £10 night, ice cream £4.50...Worth waiting up to see kelpies lit up at night. You'll need earplugs to sleep with traffic on motorway. Nice walk along canal locks. Leave by 11am.

  • 2/5

Wir waren am 31.7.23 hier. Das Parken war kostenlos. Am Eingang steht ein großes "No overnight parking" - Schild.

  • 3/5

  • 1/5

bad. noisy. cars. need I say more. waste of time

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Nice stop over for the kelpies with some good walks, clean and tidy, the spaces are a bit small (7m Motorhome) but plenty of them. Had a great nights sleep nice and quiet during the night. Was busy up to around 10pm then went quiet. You can stay until 11am.

  • 4/5

Clean and safe parking lot to stay in. 10gbp charge, but peaceful with a nice place to visit right out the door. Would stay again

  • 3/5

fabulous to be able to stay to see Kelpies at night but shame they hadn't moved overnight parking yet as apparently (waiting for barrier) as lots of cars coming & going through the night (not to see the Kelpies), so it's a bit naughty to charge us to stay.

  • 4/5

  • 4/5

Came here late at night and stayed there for early morning, no problem at all but the place might be full, we got lucky and caught last spot

  • 5/5

As of June 2023 the car park for overnights will become the day parking and vis versa. Which means the overnighters will have access to the toilet.

  • 4/5

Handy for viewing kelpies at night. Great walks through park and along canal. There is noise from motorway and very early dog walkers. Be aware the last Sunday of every month there is a car meet in the free car park. Police do monitor, but it will be noisy!

  • 5/5

Not far from the kelpies. A nice walk up. The man & woman in the hut on site were really helpful and happy to chat. The kelpies were stunning and great to visit. Car park was busy until 2am with visitors and birds were noisy! Would still go back

  • 4/5

£10 overnight parking charge. We stayed on a Friday night so was a little noisy till around midnight, flat parking and a short walk to the kelpies

  • 3/5

  • 4/5

fab spot. £10 from arriving, overnight til 11 the next morning. safe, quiet spot. beautiful views at the kelpies for a short walk, long walk to the toilets

  • 5/5

Wot a cracking place to visit, we r stopping here for the night £10 all day & night if u stay in bottom carpark, there r toilets & cafe, shop & ice-cream van, lovely walks round the all park, but the night time is best as thay light up all the kelpies, defo come back

  • 4/5

Overnight parking for £10. Toilets closed by 2135 instead of 2200. Still a reasonable spot. Quieter than expected. Clean. We parked on a Saturday night, car park was full by 1000 on Sunday, so if you have a long vehicle give some thought to your exit plan before parking.

  • 3/5

Not a bad stop over, short walk to Kelpies and nice walks near by. The council come round to collect £10 overnight stay fee in the evening or u can go and pay at the other car park nearer the Kelpies. Parking is free in 1st car park if not staying O/N and £2 in the nearer one. There are lots of cars coming in and out to see the Kelpies up until 2200 and a few playing loud music.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Stayed here for one night.. didn't have to pay anything as it was just outside of the season, very calm spot, nice 10 minute wildlife work to the Kelpies, will cost to stay in season, picture uploaded of charges

  • 4/5

Important to remember that overnight stays only allowed in the first car on the left. Best place to park if room is the very end of it just past the exit. As others have commented if you are a light sleeper you might well be disturbed by the traffic that runs behind the car park. The Kelpies website says charges apply for overnight but we couldn’t find any pay point or reference to online fees.

  • 4/5

winter free parking .around 8 campers last night .some late visitors to see the kelpies lit up so a little noisy till after 10

  • 3/5

location is great as so close to kelpie statues and great walk. If have kids massive park nearby also. When we arrived was free but like previous comments came at at cost. If heavy sleeper location ideal but if not would avoid as when we stayed on a Saturday was busy with boy racers and loud cars

  • 5/5

Bit wary with noise reviews but we had very quiet night. Few mins walk to Kelpies and nice lunch in cafe. Was busy when we arrived at 12pm but moved up to end of park later with other campers and no through traffic. Someone who worked there had said they had been working hard to keep the noisy ones out. Can walk canal to Falkirk Wheel. Free in winter months too so that was bonus! Recommend!

  • 5/5

Well what can I say other than fantastic, free car park as it’s out of season. We walked to town 20/30 min. Plenty to do definitely be back

  • 5/5

What more could you want from a car park (free - off season) flat and level, sheltered from most of the wind. We parked at the little cul-de-sac at the far end as it has no drive past access. A few young people hanging around in cars just chatting until 23:00h on a wet n windy wednesday night but nothing to worry about. The acid test is would we stay again, yes we would, no problem. David

  • 1/5

One of the worst nights we have ever experienced, we fulltime and park to suit our cat so sites usually aren't suitable, have wanted to park here for quite a while but it's usually pretty full with motorhomes, last night there was only 1 and us but carpark was overrun with kids and there cars right upto 1pm, and with the trucks running 24/7 to the distribution depot behind sleep wasn't happening.

  • 2/5

  • 5/5

We parked in the “near” park during the day, moving to the free park (winter prices) after a walk to the Kelpies after dark. ABSOLUTELY walk to the Kelpies at night! It’s a totally different experience than during the day!

  • 5/5

Free to park (& overnight park) in the Helix Car Park at this time of the year - November. Some road noise from nearby motorway, no facilities until visitors centre opens 9.30-4.00, and quite ‘open’ to windy conditions. However, it’s such a fabulous setting and the Kelpies are amazing, so very grateful for this parking opportunity.

  • 2/5

Caro el parking, teniendo cerca otro gratuito 100%.

  • 4/5

Nice place to park near to the Kelpies. Decided to stay here in order to see them lit up at night but you do need to pay £7.50 either at the machine in main car park or the car park attendant will come round and take payment before they leave at 10pm. Quite a few youngsters hanging around at night but not a bad nights sleep.

  • 3/5

Used to be a great place to stay overnight however more & more boy (and girl!) racers parking late, revving engines, playing loud music & headlights kept on. Reading previous reviews it seems hit or miss as to whether or not you're disturbed by the young uns. Pity the local police don't pass & ask them to move on when it's late, after all they haven't paid for a ticket but hang around for hours.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

My absolute favourite park up £7.50 night to 11am. Helix park is amazing, beautiful grounds, a huge play park, boating lake & woodland walks. At night it really is so special, 5min walk to The kelpies along the canal all lit up beautifully. Car park had several other vans in, had a quiet nights sleep. Though by 11am it is full, so choose a space you can get out of easy. Can’t wait to visit again.

  • 5/5

Ottimo parcheggio, nessun rumore, bella passeggiata notturna per i Kelpies.

  • 1/5

Not a good or safe park up at night Boy an Girl speedsters with loud music screaming and revving engines and reversing at speed someone is going to get hurt or worse as Police do nothing while ordinary people's try to have a quiet night At night its Lawlessness

  • 5/5

  • 3/5

firstly the kelpies are amazing at night aswell as day. The carpark that allows overnight is £7.50 we were asked to leave by 11am. I slept OK but when I woke at 2am there was music playing from a nearby car and families returning from viewing the kelpies so if you are after a super quiet night this isn't for you. toilets close at 10pm. pay at the top carpark during the day.

  • 1/5

Kelpies are outstanding to see at night . Paying £7.50 to stay overnight in a free car park when the local youth can use it for free revving their cars beeping their horns ,banging doors and shouting doesn’t seem right. Would not recommend and certainly would not stay again.

  • 3/5

  • 3/5

We stopped at the last car park, first car park was full, daytime only £6 plenty of room.

  • 3/5

  • 5/5

We enjoyed our stop at the Helix Park. Felt very safe. Parking attendants were really friendly and helpful chaps. The spot where you can stay overnight was quiet busy when we arrived at about 7pm, so we parked in the main car park u til about 9 then moved down & got a spot very easily. Only negative was one of the other vans alarms kept going off all night, but aside from that a great spot!

  • 5/5

great day and night here the kelpies are amazing one of my highlights of Scotland so far for sure. definitely worth seeing them in the dark when lit up. quiet night and nice to be able to drive down and use the loos before leaving. £7.50 overnight lots of bins around

  • 5/5

  • 2/5

24/04/2024 stayed here with tow young kids car turned up 00:30am shouting swearing at top of voices. At 02:20 sane group aggressive hammered door of my campervan. I got dressed lifted the st st bar of my dining room table and raced out zero tolerance for neds they got what for. After a standoff with 4 in their 20s they left. Police never turned up. 8 other campers necer came to assist. Careful

  • 3/5

£7.50 to park overnight. Toilets close around 9.30 at the Kelpies carpark further up. Lots of vans however with that there was also lots of noise and locals in bikes and cars treating it like a speedway. OK for the night as not much about.

  • 5/5

It was too busy to park. The attendant was lovely and told us to park on Falkirk stadium for free and walk back.

  • 5/5

I’ve read the comments and gonna leave an honest review. This is a car park not a campsite! It’s £7.50 to stay overnight, go to the main car park and pay your fees. Attendants will be round to check. We paid but others around us tried to get away with it! There isn’t any boy racers, people come to see the kelpies at night as they’re are lit up. Also don’t dump your waste in the car park either…

  • 4/5

A Flat car park, no charge for overnight parking before April. It was a very busy carpark but it gets quiet after 8pm with only dog walkers staying later. A short walk from the Kelpies statues and the toilets are not available through the night. Quiet and seemed safe enough.

  • 4/5

Stopped here last night not to noisy only odd car playing music or so called, dump loads of rubbish and go, but council clean carpark at about 8 in morning they must be used to it.

  • 5/5

Great nights stay in car park in our motor home. Several other vans stayed too , quiet no hassle .

  • 5/5

We were the only van here, slight noise from motorway but that didn't stop our sleep. Toilets are 8-8, parking is free in winter.

  • 5/5

Stopped here New Year’s Eve with no problem. There was about 5 vans together. 10 minutes walk to the kelpies and a lovely easy 4 mile walk along the canal to the Falkirk wheel. Free at this time if the year. No boy racers to be seen think they’ve been moved along as we had a couple of visits by the local police to check up on them. Great stopover.

  • 4/5

Good spot. No charge as out of season. Car park very busy up to 10pm then quietened down. Park in the first car park. Short walk to Kelpies. Rest of the park worth a walk round. Will use again if in the area.

  • 5/5

very nice chilled out stay in the first car park further away from the kelpies even in December there was about 6 or 7 campers overnight. no charges at this time of year not bothered at all thumbs up

  • 5/5

We stayed mid December. There are still signs sayings 'no parking charges' and the parking huts are shut. We had a quiet night in the lower carpark. There was the odd boy racer but hey, it's free! We loved The Kelpies, had a great lunch in the café (lovely staff, so helpful), bought stuff in the shop and we left a donation. Thank you Helix Park. We hope we have payed you back for your generosity.

  • 5/5

Stayed here the night. No ticket warden at the box to pay and there is a sign now saying parking is free. Not sure if this is a seasonal thing. Quiet night but there were a few boy racers until about 11

  • 4/5

Great stop, very convenient. Lots of other vans here. Kelpies are spectacular at nighttime. Toilets were closed at 9pm but open by 9am. No one in car park ticket hut so wasn't able to pay but would have been happy to pay the £5 if needed.

  • 4/5

Stayed for one night, arrived approx 20:30 no one in hut last night or this morning (we left around 9am). lots of parking spaces, more of a car park feel but quite a few campers around and still lots of space. Walked to the Kelpies and the toilets were very clean.

  • 4/5

Staying here tonight no parking attendents in the cabin been twice now. Great set up though worth the money if they come round.

  • 5/5

    Great spot and it’s only a £5

  • 5/5

Overnighted on 27/09/21. Good overnight location. 5 minute walk up to the Kelpies - visited day & night to see lit up. Pay parking attendant in top car park. 6km walk along canal to Falkirk wheel if don't want to drive. Was busy with lots of others, but not noisy.

  • 4/5

Excellent parking to see the Kelpies, especially at night when they are lit up. Parking is safe but noisy until after 11pm.

  • 5/5

Parked in bottom carpark. Bins for general and recycling. You need to get your overnight ticket from the office and be parked in bottom carpark. They check window screens for the tickets (which have details written on for that night), but as long as the tickets showing for when they lock up for the night they’re happy. Probably 10 vehicles overnight when we stopped: 12.09.21.

  • 5/5

Grand parking avec toilettes. Bien organisé. Bruyant en journée mais calme la nuit

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

As mentioned by others £5 to park for the night, paid at the main kelpie carpark which is locked from 2145hrs. brilliant to see them at night, joined by multiple motorhomes and campers.

  • 5/5

Great place for a night. £5 to stay overnight, toilets nearby, plenty of other vans there. Walk up to the kelpies as the sun goes down and see them lit up, changing colour, in the darkness, amazing sight. Felt very safe.

  • 4/5

Park in the bottom carpark and walk up to the top one, there’s a hut just before you get to the top one where there’ll be an attendant who we asked about parking to. £5 is the price for one night, and if you didn’t stop in the bottom carpark you will have to move down there when you can. (Not allowed in the top overnight). Toilets open until 9.50. To be off site for 11am.

  • 1/5

Oh I love the Kelpies ... but this was busier than Butlins. It's a huge car park but in every other space there was a ginormous motorhome (and a few vans) - I actually counted and it was dead on 40 parked up. It's alright if you want somewhere extremely busy but it wasn't for me at all, I was lucky to squeeze in at 10pm when all the visiting cars had mostly gone. Police drove through at 11.

  • 4/5

Beautiful to see especially at night. Toilets were great and staff very helpful. But it was noisey with cars until quite late (past 11pm). Functional and handy place for overnight. Definitely recommend seeing the kelpie all lit up!

  • 5/5

Great experience, great advice from parking staff. and clean public loo's in main carpark to freshen up.

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot! Arrived at 8.30pm, about 20 other vans parked here but had a great night's sleep for only £5. Simple rules, only one night stay allowed, leave it as you find it. There are toilets up by the Kelpies (10min walk) but they close overnight.

  • 5/5

Amazing place well worth 5 pounds a night

  • 5/5

Spent 1 night arrived @ approx 8pm, spaces available. About 5 or 6 campers in the same area. Had to walk up to the other car park in front of The Kelpies to pay £5 for an overnight parking slip, but attendants were friendly and helpful. Beautiful place, fairly busy even after 10pm but not a major issue. Would visit again!

  • 4/5

Decent parking in the central belt for a fiver. quick overnight stop only

  • 5/5

Super helpful carpark staff, kelpies are amazing, really well done Scotland , only down side big mouth boy racers wanna be gangsters hanging about till gone 1am.

  • 3/5

Lovely place in general but was woken up at 6:30am by a group of women holding a kettle bell exercise class in the middle of the parking lot.

  • 5/5

Great Park up spot. Costs £5, tickets purchased from the ticket booth in top car park (closes 2130/2200). Toilets in top car park open 0800-2200. E-bikes available to hire in top car park and The Kelpies are a 10 minute walk from the bottom overnight spot. Plenty of people coming to visit until dusk / just after dark to view The Kelpies but quietens down all fine. 5 stars would stay again!

  • 3/5

Perfect for an overnight stay to watch the sun go down behind the kelpies, £5 a night and need to leave by 11am every a buy 1 get 1 free hot drink voucher to use in the cafe, boy racers like using the car park after dark but no problems

  • 4/5

£5 for overnight parking in the bottom carpark about a 10 minute walk to the kelpies. Top carpark closes at 10pm and road is closed to it until the morning so bought our permit from the parking attendant that you can display in window at the bottom carpark - kindly ask to be on the road for 11am. A bit of road noise and carpark quite busy until late due to folk coming to see the kelpies in the dark. Didn’t bother us though as that’s why we were here too :) happy camping

  • 4/5

We stayed for one night in early October 20. Carpark was quite busy initially with locals parking to see the kelpies at night but got quieter after 10pm and we had a peaceful nights sleep. It was free when we stayed and toilets closed in the evening.

  • 5/5

Great parking spot, stay 3 nights no issues access to toilets and many bins around the car park, many camper was staying there too. Definitely recommend.

  • 4/5

Small car park few vans stayed over, very close to the Kelpies

  • 1/5

Perfect location and lever car park but over run with big racers playing loud music, very noisy till the very early hours. It’s a real pity as it’s a perfect stop over other wise.

  • 5/5

Parked up in the lower car park for the night. joined by 3 other vans. no problems and enjoyed admiring the Kelpies.

  • 5/5

No one collecting money - maybe free for January like the tours? Great little place to spend the night next to an amazing sculpture. Obviously some road noise from the motorway and a few boy racers in the evening but nothing to keep you up.

  • 4/5

Stayed here one night at the cost of £5, nice location can get busy, had a good nights sleep, we will definitely use again

  • 4/5

Great night. Good parking. easy nite walk to see the Kelpies lit up.

This is a very simple car park but perfect to stay for one night. It can get a little noisy with youngsters but other than that everything is fine. A guard comes around in the evening to collect £5 for the night. Since there is no amenities nor anything else and this is only a very basic car park 4 stars are the maximum one should give.

Stayed here for one night to visit the Kelpies. No sign of any restriction on overnight stays. A few youngsters in cars hang around early evening but were no trouble and it was quiet overnight. Toilets at the visitor centre only open during centre opening hours 9:30 to 18:00 in March.

Nice spot for an overnight, especially if you want to photograph the Kelpies at night. There is some road noise from the motorway but it's not too intrusive.

Check that there is no event on. If there is then this site is closed for parking overnight. We used a local Industrial Estate instead. We were there Remembrance Weekend but there is also some spectacular planned.

Spent a Friday night there, lots of folk parking cars in the evening and in the morning lots of dog walkers arriving, however it was a quite night and about 8 other motorhomes around us

Good overnight stop to see the Kelpies lit up. Road traffic quietens down adter 23.00 hours. Friendly car parking attendant. Can be noisy with youths using bikes.

Lots of young kids in cars, back and forth, round and round waisting fuel, worth looking at other options. .

Great little spot to stop the night , car park attendants were so helpful.! Arrived later on and went to see the kelpies at night light up. Well worth a stop. Will definitely use it again
