Safe, £5 for 24 hours.

Just arrived Friday evening at 1930hrs. We are catching the ferry tomorrow to Arran. As we drive in the guy on the barrier was very helpful and polite. We had a quick drive around the car park to pick a place for the night, and the car park is quite large with loads of spaces. There are cars, a couple of HGV vehicles here and ourselves plus one other Motor home. A very good nights sleep even when the coastal winds kicked in… so maybe try getting further down by the harbour wall… and it’s £5 for up to 24 hours stay now…. Well worth it ?

Came off ferry from Arran at 8.15pm in the dark. Parking area very quiet. Some cars here but no lorries. We were the only camper van here. Ideal and saved driving on to find somewhere else. £5.00 for up to 24 hours. No services but we had own on board facilities.

Ideal for us. Had a decent nights sleep then a bike tour of the island. Two things. The refrigerated trucks run all night intermittently. Didn’t bother us. The gate staff were keen to stress that campers were welcome for one night only.

Ok stop if using Ferry,but be prepared to be woken early ie 5.30am by the noise of HGV,really noisy
