Stayed for one night. Fishermen there all night. Was advised by fishing bailiffs that no overnights allowed but they couldn't enforce it. They left us alone and asked us not to leave any trace which of course we didn't. Not really any even spots.

The lake association has no powers to clamp so don't let them scare you into thinking otherwise. Great spot for a night nice and chilled out and close to Newquay. Will definitely 100% stay here again.

Stayed here last night and had a great time, lovely views and barely anybody else there! however in the morning (around 10am) a man in a van came (we think we was mowing the grass) and told us he could clamp us and it would cost £1000 pounds to release... even though there were no signs he said it was private property, we got lucky but maybe wouldn’t risk it again over night

Great spot overnight, tight squeeze down the lane, not suitable for larger motor homes. Beautiful lake. Only campers overnight. One other car for fishing in morning. Was not bothered by anybody. Surface uneven, a few spots under trees reasonably flat. Slightly humming noise in night, possible due to reservoir.

Stayed here for 1 night on 30/5/21 was a bit of a squeeze coming down the lane but beautiful stop. Few overnight campers and fishing permit guy came early but were all pleasant and no trouble. Saw owls and a beautiful sunrise next to the reservoir. Would stay here again for sure.

Lovely spot for dinner but moved on to sleep elsewhere. CCTV covering the car park and the entrance and no dogs allowed on site at all so didn't feel welcome to stay.

One of those spots where it’s probably advisable to arrive late and leave early. I arrived at 11pm and left at 7am. I only noticed on the way out that there is CCTV, not sure what that’s used for. The top part of the car park seems to be the most level but will still need ramps and it’s underneath trees so expect a good dollop of bird excrement by the morning, as I did. Very quiet spot though.

Lovely quiet spot with a good view, stayed from 11pm to 8am and had no issues. Fisherman and wildlife photographers were pleasant. Only thing that wasn’t great was the slope of the car park.
