Our second visit and it's still a gem. A few minutes from A74(M) at Abington. History in the village and good food in the hotel. Rachel is very welcoming. We'll be back. Access is a little tricky but good practice for the Highlands.

Stayed here for one night, great parking area with EHU (£10) Free to park. Small decking area to sit in the sun next to the park up. Requested to use a shower at the cost of £2. Great food, live music and fantastic service. The cell towers are nearby, so I had the strongest signal I ever had on 3 network. No access to toilets after hours. Dogs welcome. Free WiFi within building. Great walks.
freundliche Leute gutes Essen und Trinken kostenlos für 1 Nacht ideal Sonntag von Ostern bis September ist im Ort eine Grubenbahn zu besichtigen und man kann mitfahren
A warm welcome, tasty food, great service, friendly atmosphere, dog friendly bar and motorhome hookups in an unspoiled and quiet area of Scotland. Highly recommend.
Great spot for overnight. Friendly welcome from owner and villagers. Free to park and 10.00 if you want hook up. Good meal and beers
This place is more of a private pub car park for campers than a public car park. Especially as it has electric hook ups. Stayed here last night after eating in the pub no extra charge. Food was great and service polite and quick. Parking is partly sheltered which was handy as quite windy. Ramp up to car park is fairly steep so probably max length of 7.5m once manoeuvred.
This a lovely place to stay for a night. The food at the pub is beautiful and really reasonable priced too!! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Their car park is very flat, they offer EHU, but we didn’t need it. There are no facilities.
Wow, what a hidden gem. The drive itself was great in a van, fantastic outlook. Hotel owner very helpful and friendly, we called ahead to check it really was £10 for EHU for the night, and it is! Fantastic location and facilities for what we needed. will be back for sure✨
Great food, open fire, free park up...perfect! good signal on Vodafone and ee
Lovely traditional hotel/restaurant/pub with friendly owners and great wholesome food. It’s is £10 to have an EHU or free if you don’t have one. On a cold night it was well worth it. Dogs welcome in the bar.
Such a fantastic spot! We pulled up bedraggled after driving through storm Ashley and the owners could not have been more accommodating. We got there just as the kitchen was about to close and they still let us order dinner. The food was absolutely gorgeous too! We parked up in the quiet, sheltered car park out the back and had a lovely stay. The highest place you can stay in Scotland too
Hidden gem- near the motorway - lovely place, lovely food and a lovely welcome. Wish we’d found more places like this. Electric hook up but no water or other services. However, there is an outdoor seating area which is a really lovely addition. Definitely worth stopping if you want an authentic experience.
Leider für größere Wohnmobile nicht geeignet da die Zufahrt sehr steil ist und dicke Äste sehr tief hängen. Das Dach wird zerkratzt.Für Kastenwagen aber geeignet.Wir sind weiter gefahren.
Great overnight stop especially handy to have Elec hook up too. Fish n chips were lovely for dinner too
Spots are nice. Toilets are mostly clean. Food in Hotel is not the best.
Excellent food and service, fantastic staff, even on a very warm busy Friday night. Car park is ideal, plenty of flat areas, couple of chargeable hook ups if needed. I’d say you need to be early to get a space when busy.
Fantastic overnighter found by chance, very welcoming, had a snack in the evening with some beer and booked breakfast in the morning. Pete had full Scottish and I had a lighter option. Plenty of toast and coffee, fruit, croissants and everything you could wish for. It cost £18 for us both. Excellent value. Were able to fill up with some water before continuing on our way. Would recommend
Brilliant stop off! Found totally by chance because we had driven enough for the day and the weather was awful so the thought of a pub dinner sounded good. Parking area flat and spacious, owners very welcoming and friendly. No charge for staying if you utilise the bar/restaurant. Food was brilliant, massive portions, absolutely perfect!!
very nice escape from wind, has 5 ehu looks like a water tap is being installed pipes there.food was nice owners very pleasant.fairly flat carpark once you get up the very steep( 1st gear ) ramp in my old girl.small shop next door to pub open till late for supplies
We found this place at the last minute and a great find. We didn’t use the electric but it is available. Great owner, very laid back didn’t skip a beat when we said about staying in the car park. Went in for a drink and something to eat but it wasn’t a condition of staying. Great food, small cosy bar Excellent stop off recommend it
Great place for a couple of nights. Great pub, great food, golf coarse a few hundred yards away. Will be back
A very friendly welcome to Scotland for us. Rab and Rachel we so lovely and accommodating. Food was great, I’d recommend the Burns burger with Rachel’s homemade haggis. Level parking with electric if you want it. The village is small and peaceful. Kitchen closes at 8pm. 5 stars!
Great overnight stop, flat pitch, free if hook up not required. Fabulous pub food. Best fish and chips !
Brave heart and Rachel is the nicest people you ever meet and the food is lovely and the drink is better lol you better come here lol
Lovely pub with a quiet car park, land lord and lady really lovely and happy for you to stay if you buy dinner and have a couple of drinks. Out of courtesy phone first but you will get a lovely warm welcome.
Lovely landlords, generous food. Flat carpark with 2 electric hook ups. Great place to stop and explore.
