Southend-on-Sea is probably not suitable for motorhomes! That said, this location on the western esplanade is really ideal for an overnight stop! It's only a 5-minute walk from the famous pier and all the town centre shops! However, be prepared for traffic noise, which is considerably reduced at night!

Wir standen tagsüber. Sehr teuer, wir konnten mit 6,6m einen Randplatz nutzen, ansonsten muss man 2 Plätze zustellen. Haben noch weiter als das Casino geparkt, da wird es nicht so voll und es stand keiner um uns herum (Freitag in Hauptsaison bei tollem Wetter). Hat ohne Strafe funktioniert und wir konnten die Bootstour genießen
Lieu très bruyant et dangereux. Les places de parking sont entre 2 routes très passantes. Cet emplacement est situé sur un parking de club et de casino. Ok pour la journée, mais déconseiller pour passer la nuit.

We parked for two nights nearby just close to the sea but not at the parking spot, go right to the toilets. No noise from the street or pub, just birds and some ships unloading in the morning. The toilets close over night and some are very dirty. But the view is worth any inconvenience!
Sehr laut durch die Lage zwischen den Fahrspuren einer vielbefahrenen Hauptstraße. Treffpunkt von jungen Erwachsenen mit getunten Autos; Casinos und Bars/Clubs.
We parked a bit further along, past the casino and yacht club. We’re locals but wanted a night out in the campervan with a sea view, and this was a great spot! Biggest issue is the traffic noise but that’s to be expected on a main road. Beautiful views in the morning, lots of cafes close by for breakfast!
Good spot, a bit loud in the evening, it got calmer around 11 pm. Toiletts are not the cleanest but work.
close to the pier with a very nice view ,parking free for disabled and for all others £2.40 an hour ,other car parks have hight barriers, lot of traffic noise as its a busy area that goes on later at night
We parked here for two nights in august was pleasantly surprised yes a bit noisy until around 12 but I’m a late sleeper so didn’t affect me the traffic warden even told me how to park so I only payed for one vehicle instead of two as long as both wheels are touching both lines of or in side on parking bay you pay one price mine is a big girl cost is £2.50 a hr free after 18.00 and 8.00 happy parki
We parked up at about 7pm on Friday and found by 8pm we were surrounded by boy racers which were really loud. We couldn't stay over and parked somewhere else overnight. We returned in the morning and parked up during the day.
Waren für eine Nacht dort , waren am Abend davor am Pier …viel zu entdecken , nachts nicht ganz so ruhig wegen dem Verkehr
Only parked during the day great location you have to buy 2 spaces if you have a long van that takes 2 spaces was a bit expensive for both spaces but a really good location right near all the shops and amusements.
We stayed here overnight and parked across the two spaces. In the morning at 8am we went and paid for 2hours across the parking spaces while we went to get breakfast. Spaces fill up fast though throughout the day! There was quite a bit of traffic throughout the night but to be expected being right on the sea front.
Great place to be in Sarfend and savour the culture. Amazing view and all that. No facilities unless you count endless fish and chip shops Noisy most of the night. Not having to pay for overnight parking makes it good value.
Stayed here as a solo female stayed up towards the casino end it was a week day but it was quiet and woke up to the most amazing views - It may not be as quiet at weekends tho lots of little boys around thrashing cars
Our first night in our newly converted family camper... It was a great location. Faultless.
Stayed here last night. Free from 6 and then you pay from 9. Road noise all night and we had one drunk knock on side of van but only the once. Great view of sea and only noise was cars. Fine for a one night stop. Public toilets by on side of road near pier which are free and very clean.
