Road off roundabout was bumpy with a few pot holes. The carpark was very bumpy and big craters! (something to be careful of) I went in and paid £10 and the staff member was lovely. Really quiet at night time, we only stayed till 10.30 and the carpark was being to fill (this was Xmas day. Spoilt a bit by other campers letting dogs run free, and barking at night which set mine off.

  • 5/5

Great stopover heading south . £10 donation to Mac Milan paid in pub . Lovely Pub

  • 5/5

Excellent spot, very quiet and plenty of space although I can imagine it gets busy at peak times in the summer? Very friendly staff in a carvery style pub.

  • 5/5

cant anymore than whats been said already apart from it must be even better in the summer..can only recommend

  • 5/5

we don't live far from here ( 45 mins ) and visit regularly . Good food , friendly staff , excellent carvery , its a shame some camper/ motorhome visitors, turn up , have no intention of paying £10 for parking and not use the pub .and then leave barbecues , rubbish , dog mess and then leave with not a thankyou or care .and then complain when these places stop us staying over .

  • 5/5

Very nice place to park up great views pub has great food and beer will be staying there again

  • 5/5

stayed 2 nights here really friendly staff will definitely stay here again

  • 5/5

Big space for big vans, next to Fromebridge Mill pub, fabulous and friendly staff, perfect stop off en route to the West Country.

  • 1/5

this stop over Was recommend by a friend of which when they stayed a caravan turned up when they asked they were only there for a week as they were contractors. after 9 days we turned up with family only to find caravan still there and days later another one turned up which contained young girls later in the day they went round knocking on motorhome windows not impressed so we left won't return

  • 5/5

excellent stop over for motorhomes could do with a water tap outside to fill water containers also dog waste bins as there are always people walking there dogs and rubbish bins are needed great to see the Christmas trees have gone

  • 5/5

excellent stop off. car park very quiet. charitable donation a great idea. anyone know why there is a pile of old Xmas trees at the bottom? maybe you dispose of it for charity, who knows?

  • 5/5

Stayed here for two nights. Gravel carpark is quite rutted but flat. Pub is friendly and welcoming. £10/night is well worth it and to a good cause. very quiet overnight. Great stop for Slimbridge, and for those who need it, auto gas filling less than 1 mile away at John Stayte Services. All in all, very peaceful.

  • 5/5

Stayed 2 nights. Nice flat carpark with plenty of space. No services £10 per night to charity. Very quiet overnight. Friendly staff. Follow signs and not Google maps. Would definately use again.

  • 5/5

Large level car park backing onto the River Frome. Stayed 2 nights - we found it exactly as others have said. Still £10 per night donation to MacMillan. Staff helpful and friendly. Food is standard large pub carvery faire - not going to win awards but plentiful and prompt. Slept well - Quiet despite being very busy. Will use again. Very happy

  • 5/5

Short ride from the M6 but very quiet at night. Large flat car park right by the river. £10 overnight stay for Mcmillan. Food is good and plentiful-but not brilliant. Staff also very friendly. Happily stay again

  • 5/5

Friendly staff, with huge level car park. The £10 charge goes to charity which is very nice. Would definitely recommend

  • 5/5

Second time we’ve stayed for the night. Peaceful, flat, quiet and perfect for what we wanted. Arrived 9:50pm & popped into the pub to pay our £10 but unfortunately no time to eat/drink but they didn’t seem to mind that. Next time we will!

  • 5/5

Great pub stopover! got there really late on a business trip, Pub only opens at 11 but popped in at morning to donate to macmillan, staff were awesome and really helpful. 100% returning to get some food and stop over again when we next pass

  • 5/5

Big open car park next to the Fromebridge Mill pub, £10 per vehicle for the night ( donated to mcmillan cancer) , very quiet. No obligation to eat or drink in pub but it's a lovely spacious pub with lots of character , dog friendly , no hassle at all , quiet night very peaceful , close to motorway without the motorway noise

  • 5/5

Einfacher Schotterplatz mit flachen Plätzen. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter im Pub und eine ruhige Nacht gehabt.

  • 5/5

Great stop off and nice and quiet even though it’s just off the motorway. We arrived too late to eat/drink at the pub but paid our £10 donation. Would return again!

  • 5/5

Very peaceful night on a gravel parking area right next to a waterway with some picnic tables. The Fromebridge Mill Pub who it belongs to charges £10 per night which goes to macmillan charity. It's right off the M5 motorway. Well worth a stop over. Nice pub too.

  • 5/5

09/06/24 Great place just off the motorway, dog friendly, Sunday carvery which was good, bargain for a £10 charity donation. Disappointed to find that rubbish, dog poo bags discarded disposable BBQ still smoldering in the long grass at bottom end of carpark spent 30mins picking up rubbish and making sure fire was out. Come on you campers if we ruin these places we will be stopped from using them.

  • 5/5

Stayed the night after a really good carvery and a couple of drinks each. there is a a charge for £10 per camper per night (no exceptions) with the ‘donation’ going to the Macmillan charity

  • 5/5

Had a great sleep here, didn't eat but had a couple of pints. Great location, basic but comfortable. Quite a few motorhomes there and vanlifers. Evidence of someone using a disposable bbq on the grass. Please don't, we will have this place taken from us.

  • 5/5

Lovely stop. As others have said £10 donation - you speak to the bar and get a display for the window, I was told they check now twice a day due to some inconsiderate users. Donation not paid if you eat here and you get a loyalty card. I will visit again. Very pretty.

  • 5/5

Great area for parking. When we stayed, there were a few other campers. The gravelled area was quite flat. The pub was very friendly and the food was great. A lovely area to sit outside the pub if the weather permits. Dog friendly. Would definitely stay again.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night, loads of parking and very quiet through the night! Ate at the pub last night, carvery was good, no one asked for the 10 pound donation so assume eating there is enough too. Would highly recommend this spot!

  • 5/5

Stayed overnight, two others, camper and MH as well. Ate in the pub, food good, it’s a very large and very busy, but friendly Greene King Inn. Quite other than some traffic noise from the motorway but not intrusive. Will stay again

  • 5/5

Fabulous spot. So quiet. Great pub and your £10 donation goes to charity. Great nights sleep

  • 4/5

Fromebridge Mill public house, lovely location, £10 donation to Mcmillan. food basic drinks expensive. but quiet to stop.

  • 5/5

Huge car park with spaces next to the river, we were parked here with about 5 other campers overnight. Quiet and flat and suitable for the biggest of vans

  • 4/5

Fabulous spot. Just off the motorway but very quiet. Ate there and the food was great and £10 payment was a snip. Fabulous views across the fields next to the river. Pub dog friendly too and the food was great. Recommend. Toilets available for use whilst pub open.

  • 5/5

Great spot. Plenty of space. A bit flooded after relentless rain & the river was very full, but we felt safe to stay the night. V quiet and good location for us as we needed Gloucester Iveco garage the next day. Fairly nice chain pub for drinks. £10 charity "donation" is a great idea. Happy to pay.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot to spend the night. £10 charity donation in the pub to stop. Nice food and very reasonably priced. Lots of friendly campers to socialise with as well. Recommend advance booking for food.

  • 5/5

Lovely spot, very busy with motorhomes passing through, hopefully everyone paid the tenner or spent some money in the pub to keep this spot alive!!!!

  • 5/5

Great place to stay. A little traffic noise but bearable. We have been back 3 times now. Great food, nice walks for Dudley Dog. £10 charity donation is a great idea, so you don't feel you need to eat. However, I've been told some selfish, happy campers don't bother to eat or pay the donations! Come on camping buddies, it's a great cause that will probably help someone in your family one day?

  • 5/5

Brilliant place! Loads of room for parking and amazing quiet spot right by the river. The pub is beautiful right by the water with amazing views and fantastic food. They just ask for a £10 charity donation to stay over. Would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!

  • 5/5

Excellent park up. We had a drink in the pub but there’s no obligation. Lots of vans there but it was quiet. Level. Think toilets are open all night as there is a separate entrance for them on the left of the pub. They were certainly open very early. Views of the river Frome and surrounding fields. Lots of birds.

  • 5/5

Great stop off on way and way back north to south. Large area at back of pub car park some pot holes but nothing you can't drive around - most spots flat - quiet at night - can get food /drinks in pub 11am - 10pm ish. Pay £10 donation to mcmillian charity. A great find will use again :)

  • 5/5

Excellent area nice and secluded, very nice pub and great that the ask for a £10 donation to macmillian cancer charity, nice and quiet lots of fantastic wildlife. Stayed here on a trip down to Cornwall, will use this as a stop over for any southern trips

  • 4/5

Nice park up next to river in flattish car park. Spoke to owner and for a donation of £10 to Macmillan charity were allowed to park up. Quiet night with minimal road noise Would stay again, very friendly

  • 5/5

Great park up, level ground with views down the river. Lovely pub with nice food, we were happy to donate £10 to McMillan Charity for a nights stay.

  • 5/5

Great location and great pub. Fromebridge Mill pub. Great food and very friendly welcome atmosphere. Loads of space in the carpark for parking up our big van. You can hear some of the motorway noise from the M5, but that didn’t keep us awake at night. Will definitely be staying here again!

  • 5/5

As per all the other positive comments with regards to space and the quietness. Lovely Landlady was telling us they raised £5000 last year (2022) for McMillan purely from overnight donations. She is also considering making hookups available in the future. Great overnight spot which is becoming very popular

  • 5/5

beautiful park up, lovely place and friendly pub staff, you can donate to park, it is optional though.

  • 5/5

Stayed a few times in 2022, paid £10 donation to Macmillan at the pub. Nice food, drink and atmosphere inside.

  • 5/5

Can’t complain about this park up. Very large, level, quiet car park that belongs to the pub. We popped inside to let them know we were here and they were very welcoming. We happily paid the £10 Macmillan donation.

  • 2/5

costs £10 to park even if you eat in the pub. used to come here a lot to eat and stopover but not any more with the £10 fee. no services.

  • 5/5

Lovely stop off pub very nice - quiet stop but woke up in middle of a car boot sale !!! V funny

  • 5/5

lovely spot. I stopped over on my way up north. a small donation for the carpark and had dinner and a couple of pints.

  • 5/5

Amazing little stop over just 2mins off jct 13 on the M5, no charge just a donation to their chosen charity. Large car park, canal, old mill and stunning walks.

  • 5/5

The pub car park was less than a mile from the M5 motorway. Absolutely loads of room to park, was quiet overnight and felt very safe (single female). Toilets available while pub is open. Cost: £10 donation for MacMillan Cancer to stay overnight paid in pub (receipt given). As a P4N stopover, 5 stars awarded. I ate in the pub. Staff friendly and welcoming but did have to wait over an hour for food!

  • 5/5

It is a large private gravel car park that belongs to the pub. Although there are no signs to say a charge is payable if you speak to the pub they ask for a donation to the Macmillan charity. We quite happily paid the £10 suggestion as it was well worth it as the view and walks are ideal and literally 5 minutes from the M5. Please don’t abuse this lovely park up otherwise it will be lost.

  • 4/5

Level gravel parking. No services. Great pub adjacent; Will give you a receipt for windscreen if you make a donation to Macmillan Charity. Quiet night once pub shuts

  • 5/5

Great free , large parking area just off M5 . Safe and overlooks fields in one direction. Pub nearby.

  • 5/5

We stay here in our camper quite often and they don’t mind as long as you buy in the pub. The food is always really nice and very consistent and they are very friendly. Highly recommend!

  • 5/5

Excellent spot, large carpark, lovely walk from the carpark next to the river, dog friendly pub too. £10 donation to mcmillan to stay overnight, will definitely return. Close to the m5 but quiet and perfect for our stop on our way to Cornwall.

  • 5/5

Nice spot and decent pub with good food. Car park has plenty of space and road noise is minimal. The pub asks for £10 charity donation to stay the night, which they added to the food bill. There were 3 other campers parked up when we stayed. Very good place to stop on the way down to Cornwall area!

  • 4/5

This is a great stop over. We paid a £10 MacMillan charity donation to the pub to stay. No pressure at all to buy anything but we had a drink. The pub is in a lovely pretty waterside location with a huge car park. There was very distant road noise but not enough to be off putting. We stayed here when visiting WWT Slimbridge which is just a few miles down the road. Recommended.

Great location, easy to get to just off the M5 Junction 13. Had a lovely meal in pub very reasonable price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed overnight in car park in our motorhome for a £10 donation to MacMillan. Well worth it. Plan to return on way home.

  • 5/5

What an amazing place landlady was so helpful and made us feel really welcome we paid our money to cancer research which is a big part of my life parked up got our awning out and had the best nite ever please support our local places

  • 4/5

Peaceful spot next to the river. 6 or 7 other campers on a Saturday night. We ate in the pub and made the mistake of asking if it’s okay to park. They asked for a £10 payment for a permit but we seemed to be the only ones that had one. Food was superb! Will use again.

  • 5/5

A great place to stay. In the large gravel, fairly level car park of Frombridge Mill pub. A £10 donation to Macmillan Cancer allows you an overnight stay with no pressure to purchase any food or drink, but very tempting. The food is good and the beer's cool. We stayed saturday night, it was very quiet with views and birdsong to wake up to. There are no facilities except for what's in the pub.

  • 5/5

Fantastic stopping place! Very quiet night, had a meal in the pub and asked to donate £10 to Macmillan.

  • 4/5

Great for an overnight; pub car park alongside river with space for >50 vans. There’s prob 12 here tonight, a May Saturday evening. Pub food available. £10/night

  • 5/5

Really quiet night. Had a pint in the pub and were asked to donate £5 to Macmillan Cancer Care to stay in the car park over night. We were the only ones there.

  • 5/5

Stayed for 1 night with 2 children. Arrived at 1915hrs. There were a few motor homes already her but still lots of space. The pub is lovely, friendly staff and prefer the £5 donation to charity in cash! Great spot!!! Will stay here again!!

  • 4/5

Excellent stopover. plenty room an friendly staff. Just said they asked people to put a £5 donation in the MacMillan charity box. Will def stay again on our way to Dorset

  • 5/5

Roadworks just off the M5 made it a little tricky to find in the dark, but a big open space, 3 or 4 motorhomes there with plenty of space and privacy. Not much road noise at all considering how easy it is from the motorway. Arrived at midnight and left around 8am, pub doesn't open till 11am or I'd have had some breakfast there.

  • 5/5

Been using this app for a very short period of time it’s amazing!! Found this little treasure have to give it 5 stars!! Beautiful located place what a gem. Staff were lovely and we donated £5 for cancer charity to stay the night.

  • 5/5

Great car park next to pub. Quiet and secluded spot. I turned up at 1am so was unable to use pub facilities but I had no trouble and wasn’t bothered.

  • 5/5

Perfect overnight stop for a Motorhome, not far from the motorway. Peaceful river setting and lovely views. The pub looks great too but they were full up. They were happy for us to stop over despite the fact we didn’t eat there.

  • 5/5

Great overnight stop. Greene King carpark, we asked at the bar when we arrived and stayed for food. the staff we’re friendly. Very quiet and VERY close to the M5, perfect stop over for South Wales or Devon/Cornwall.

  • 4/5

A very large flat car park by a mill stream, owned by the Fromebridge Mill pub ( Greene king) good pub food, lovely setting and walks along river. Some background M5 noise but not too intrusive and I don’t like road noise.Manager very friendly happy to let you stay if you use pub.Easy access for 12 m MH book food online and mention stay...

  • 5/5

Straight off the M5. We stayed the night no trouble at all. There was another van there also. If you pull to the right once your down the pub drive you can nicely tuck yourself out of the way. KURT

  • 5/5

Great stop over, very large gravel carpark on right. owners very happy to have motorhomes. pub mostly carvery at £9. spots right next to the river Frome, and walks along it. will be back

  • 2/5

Ok für eine Nacht. Geld ausgeben für Essen sollte man sich lieber sparen, da es sehr schlecht ist.

  • 4/5

Nice quiet and pretty location. A bit of road noise. The pub would prefer it if you said hello, but there wasn't any expectation to buy anything.
