Another visit here. Another peaceful night. The definite plus is the free bus into the city. Because of that we went out for drinks and dinner. Good for the local businesses. Others should follow by example and see how it works. Ps recommend Oscar and Bentleys for food. Everything Gf and lovely staff.

Wish other councils provided this type of facility. Excellent two nights here and easy to use waste facilities. All this for £12 for our two night stay and a free bus to town.

Fantastic spot for campers with bus ticket included to the town a short distance away. Water and facilities to empty the toilet are there as well as being close to a nice pub. Pretty quiet at night although we were there in winter. Well done to the council!

Well done Canterbury council if only more councils followed your lead. Great motorhome park up plus free bus into the centre of Canterbury. We will happily stay here again. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that to dispose of black waste you are supposed to lift the grey waste grate, previous users didn’t both lifting the grate, so mushy toilet paper covered it. Far from hygienic.

Super arrêt, pour nous 4 nuits et 3 jours passés pour le nouvel an, 16 £ ! Inespéré … il y avait un peu de monde mais les places sont grandes (grands camping-cars ok sur le côté ou remorques ok ) le bus gratuit pour le centre de Canterbury nous a permis de prendre le train pour Londres : 1h30 de trajet pour 16£, un très bon plan ! Vidage et remplissage eau sur place.

Regular stop for us on the way to ferry - level pitches, all services available and excellent value. Thanks to Canterbury and as others have said, other towns and cities in the UK should follow their lead.

schöner Platz. Günstig. Bei Einfahrt wird Kennzeichen gespeichert. Einfach bei der Ausfahrt an die Schranke. Dann am Automat direkt an Schranke zahlen. WC muss im Bodenauslass entleert werden. Nunja. Aber guter Platz.

Abbiamo pernottato il 4-5 ed il 23-24 agosto! Parcheggio comodissimo sia per visitare la città (autobus gratuito) sia per l'imbarco a Dover. Carico e scarico, wc chimico compreso nelle 4 sterline. Il costo viene calcolato dalle 00 alle 24, pernottando diventano automaticamente 8 sterline. Ritorno sempre molto volentieri quando vado in UK.

I so wish there were more places like this in England. Very similar to Aires in Europe. Campervan area gets quite busy at times but the rest of the parking area always seems to have loads of space. Please, for the love of god, lift the grate before emptying your toilet so noone else has to navigate your turds. Be a good person. Thanks.

Très pratique pour visiter Canterbury bus compris dans le prix du parking nous y sommes restés deux nuits hyper calme et pourtant au mois d août Très utile pour attendre le retour en France. Il y a tout pour faire les ablutions du cc. Génial on voudrait qu il en existe plus en Grande Bretagne. Revenons de trois mois de road trip. Difficile pour les spots.

Wir waren jetzt 3 Wochen in Südengland unterwegs, aber diese Bewertung habe ich mir bis zum Schluss aufgehoben. Schade, dass wir nur einen so tollen Stellplatz gefunden haben. Komplette Entsorgung und Trinkwasser kostenlos. Die 4 Pfund pro Kalendertag ist eigentlich nur das Ticket für den Bustransfer in die Innenstadt für max. 6 Personen. Bezahlen erst vor der Ausfahrt.

Still as great as ever with a bus every 10 mins and only 30 mins from Chunnel. They have expanded into two sections of the carpark. I hope other towns take their lead.

Super Platz, um Canterbury zu besuchen und mit 8 Pfund sehr günstig. Toll ist der kostenfreie Shuttle vom Platz in die Stadt. Toilette ist im Infogebäude.

Canterbury est une très belle ville. le Royal Muséum est intéressant, les gens de l'office du tourisme charmants. le pub juste à côté " old Gate Inn" pour un verre ou pour y (bien) manger.

Ein toller Stellplatz stadtnah mit dem Schuttel in 6 Minuten in der Stadt. Nachts schön ruhig, Morgens kommen Pendler ist aber auch ok gewesen. Entsorgung von WC und Grauwasser möglich.

Very convenient for a bike tour to the city or you can take the free shuttle. very quiet Day and night.

Great place although didn't sleep well due to the lovely song thrush who didn't get the memo of when sunrise was and started singing loudly at 3am, lol. WC available working hours, great price and generally quiet except some people do leave v v early to catch the ferry so if you are parked on the entrance barrier side, it's much noisier. Would use again - just maybe not in bird mating season!

Ein einfacher Wohnmobilstellplatz, wenn man von der Fähre kommt oder die Fähre nächsten Tag geht. Es war einiges los, konnten jedoch noch einen Platz ergattern. Bezahlt (Kartenzahlung) wird an der Schranke, da das System, dass Kennzeichen wieder erkennt. Ansonsten steht bei der Bushaltestelle ein Automat. ☺️

Just like a continental aire with the added benefit of free bus rides into Canterbury where there is so much to do. It is maybe not obvious but the GRATE must be lifted when emptying the toilet. DO NOT empty toilet waste on the GRATE, please!

We stayed 1 night en route to France. Super quiet & quite a few motorhomes so felt safe. Toilets in bus station open in morning & were clean. Drinking water & toilet disposal readily available (although toilet waste goes down the drive over drain so could be tricky!). Fantastic resource will use again & take a visit into.Canterbury. Thanks to Council for providing this amenity.

If only more towns and cities in the UK did this. £8 per day (overnight) or £4 a day from midnight to midnight if you don't mind leaving that late. Excellent facilities: drinking and non-drinking water, black and grey water disposal facilities, bins and pristine toilets (daytime only). All this unlimited free trips to and from Canterbury on the Park and Ride bus!

Great spot! Bathrooms do close early but it’s super affordable with drinking water, non drinking no water (both in the motorhome parking area) and the park and ride included. Superdrug not great signal (bit of 3g) and o2 slightly better.

A good one night stop for either visiting Canterbury itself or handy for ferries. Toilets, which don’t have showers or sink, close early evening. The site is very well illuminated so you need good blackout curtains. Normal bins but no recycling. Quiet at night. Easy access to and from the A2.

Great spot. Lovely and quiet during day and night. Plenty of spots for all size motorhomes. Black water drain, non drinking water and drinking water taps and bin. Only downside is not very good 4G signal. Bus into town is free for up to 7 people when you pay for the carpark - £4 for 24 hours. Stayed here 2 nights and will definitely be back.

Great stopover for the night on the way to the port, with dedicated motorhome area and all the facilities needed. Parking ticket allows multiple trips in to Canterbury.

Great place to stop, lots of room, easy to park, great motorhome facilities. Used the park and ride... it is free on the last Sunday of the month.

Fantastic facility. Everyone knows the pain of driving into the center of a town with a large vehicle trying to find appropriate parking. Having a P&R that has dedicated spaces for campers, allows overnight stays and has basic facilities for a fair price is absolutely excellent.

Great facility and super handy for channel crossings now that Dover charges £10 to park overnight on Marine Drive. Pity re the latter as it provided the only reason to go into the town. The fact it was previously free also softened the pain of listening to boy racers zooming up and down until the small hours. Anyway, only a 25min walk into Canterbury and easy (free) bus ride home.

We stayed here for one night in our campervan. Waste disposal, drinking water, non-drinking water, rubbish bins all on site within the cordoned off motorhome area. Toilets also on site but we did not use them. Cycled into Canterbury. £4 per day so costs £8 for an overnight stay. Bus ride included in the parking fee. Excellent spot - wish there were more of these around.

Smashing place. Everything you need to top up and empty, bins, spacious and quiet at night. Short bus ride into Canterbury which is just lovely. Really do wish there were more councils who adopted this idea. Would definitely return.

Hard to find a negative on this one for a city park4night. Currently £4 to park, £8 for overnight. Endless free bus rides into town. (Last bus about 19:00) Toilets (Currently closed due to Covid) Drinking water tap. Non drinking tap. Waste water disposal. 24 dedicated spaces. Not far from Ferries/Tunnel.

Good location, nice and clean. Unfortunately toilets not open at the moment. Drive in cinema just next door that we could watch (but not hear), didn’t seem to cause too much traffic noise.

Why oh why don't all council's supply this service, perfect for overnight. Water and waste disposal with free bus rides in to and back from Canterbury. £3.50 for 24 hours midnight to midnight so £7 for overnight but don't worry you don't have to get up at midnight just get your second ticket when you get up as its all run on ANPR.

Just to advise others... I telephoned the park and ride office, they advised that the water tap is not drinking water just waste use only. Also, you have to be in the car park by 8:30 pm before the barrier closes but you can exit at any time and the earliest time to arrive is 7 am

Great place to stay for the Eurotunnel. We arrived at 11pm . Barrier with a ticket machine . We downloaded an app to pay . Good value for a quick overnighted.

Perfect spot for tunnel crossing the next day. We arrived at 10pm, later than planned due to traffic, barrier lifted & we parked up in first Motorhome car park on the left. Very quiet, only 4 other Motorhomes. Fantastic spot for us though, only £1 due to park & ride not operating due to Covid. Bins, waste disposal & water. Well done Canterbury.

Great location - allocated area for MH and campers . No EHU - but water and waste . No park and ride buses at the moment . It took about 30 mins to walk.into city . Local buses are running. There is a nice pub 2 mins away that does.meals . As no p&r buses - only charged 50pence 12 hours - so overnight £1 . Brilliant. Would stay again . Convenient if travelling to Dover for a ferry . .

No park n ride at the moment and the toilets are closed. Water and grey waste available, but couldn’t see a proper chemical disposal?! Easy cycle into Canterbury. Just 50p a day for parking (ends at midnight)

Falls man nach der Überfahrt noch etwas Zeit hat sollte man diesen Platz anfahren. Als Start oder Endpunkt für eine Reise durch England sehr gut geeignet, da man sich sicher sein kann einen guten, geraden und sicheren Platz für die Nacht und darüber hinaus zu finden.

Stayed overnight 17 to 18 March, still open, no indication at that point of it closing. Several other vans but tons of space, especially in the overflow area around the corner from the service point. Good luck to everyone travelling home. x

Ideal pour y passer une ou 2 nuits. il y a tout a disposition pour vidanger et remplir. le ticket de parking sert de ticket de bus et nous sommes une famille de 5 personnes !! De plus il y a des bus à tout heure...vraiment sympa pour profiter de Canterbury .

Hi there, have stayed at Canterbury many times. the drive over grey waste is also the chemical waste (lift crate first) there is a tap next to area for rinsing chemical cassettes. Great services supplied, many thanks canterbury council....

Ideal. easy access to town, quiet and clean, a big thank you to Canterbury for building a very well considered facility.

Ideal place to stop before be got on the tunnel the next day. One side of the car park slopes a bit for drainage, but other that that, spot on. Just remember that it's 3.50 per day, so an overnight stay is £7. Secure and quiet.

Great location and facilities, why can't other parts of the UK adopt the model? Close to okay pub. Unfortunately someone decided to spoil it for others by emptying their toilet down the grey water drain.

The closest you’ll get to an Aire in the UK. And top value for £7. Top up with water and there’s a drive over grate to empty your water, the sign suggests grey and black, but I’d be a bit doubtful about emptying my cassette over it. There are toilets on site which were very clean but these close overnight. The pub next door was good for a meal.

I want to give a good review because there are so few affordable places in the area and Canterbury is a beautiful city. Unfortunately this place is a health hazard thanks to the people that don't understand how to empty their toilets. Don't empty your solid waste on the drain please.

Perfect spot for catching ferry or train. Arrived too late at night to use bus ticket. When we arrived quite a few motorhomes in already. Few spaces left, so all good. spaces aren't huge but fine for overnight.

Perfecto para pasar la noche antes de coger el ferry en Dover y dejar la autocaravana mientras visitas Canterbury. ACEPTAN PERROS EN EL BUS, que tiene parada en el mismo párquing. El tiquet del párquing incluye el viaje de bus para 6 personas. Mejor no aparcar cerca de la zona de vaciado de aguas grises pq es donde se vacía también el wc químico.

Sehr guter Platz auf dem Weg von/nach Dover. Parkschein gilt als Busticket für alle. Wenige Bus-Minuten bis zur Fußgängerzone der schönen Altstadt.

Parfait pour visiter Canterbury. A l’entrée du parking on vous délivre un ticket. Mais c’est votre plaque d’immatriculation qui est enregistrée et qui vous servira à payer en sortant. 3,5 livres par 24 h mais de minuit à minuit. Donc effectivement 7 livres pour une nuit. Paiement par carte bleue possible, sans contact ou cash. Bus gratuit et très très fréquent ! Que demander de plus ? Si ce n’est aux camping caristes indélicats de ne pas faire marcher un groupe électrogène à 21h! Un grand merci à la ville. Bel exemple à suivre !

Es el Park and Ride “New Dover”No llegamos a pasar la noche pero es un sitio perfecto para ello. Por 3.5 libras puedes aparcar hasta las doce de la noche, y está incluido el billete de ida y vuelta de hasta seis personas en autobús a Canterbury (cada 8 minutos pasa uno). Además, también incluido el cambio de aguas de la autocaravana. Si vas a pasar la noche, a partir de las 0:00 hay q pagar otras 3.5 libras( q dan derecho a otro día mas aparcado) por lo que el coste total es 7

Great facility. Thank you Canterbury Council for being so welcoming. The dedicated motorhome parking was busy, but the height barriers into the main car park had been removed and an area to the right sign-posted as motorhome parking too. Note - need your barrier entry ticket to use the free bus to town.

Está bien. lo único es que pensábamos que nos cobraban 3,5£ por 24 h pero las cobran por día, así que si queréis dormir serían 7£. Pero bueno contando con el precio de lo que valdría llenar y vaciar y el autobús, compensa. Admiten perros en el autobús a Camterbury.

Emplacement calme avec eau compris dans le prix. Très bon emplacement pour visiter Canterbury car il existe un accès par bus très pratique, en plus le prix du stationnement de 3,5 € pour la journée comprend aussi un ticket de bus pour six personnes aller/retour.

Overflow parking still through the barrier is now in place with space for maybe 50 more vans.

Excellent place to stay and so easy to get into the centre of the city. Second car park quieter than the first - don’t hear traffic entering and leaving and there is more space.
