Just had a look new road surface has created a ditch blocking the entrance- before you can get up a small track which locals obviously use - I parked there and walked the track - doable for small vans and probably not in the wet - plenty of spaces over the small hill and places to turn - unfortunately when I returned from the walk a ranger was waiting for me and suggested the gite or the hotel !
