Only this place on the road to park for the night, it’s away from the houses, litter bin there so no reason for someone to spoil it by leaving rubbish!!….. there is a car park and end of road but NO over night parking sign up, good walks/views
Great spot, nice view over the water. Nice and quiet, minimal traffic. No noticeable traffic at all overnight.
Perfect for Bird watching and enjoying the scenery. If no parking space left, turn around at the top of the road and park up for the night at the bowling club , half mile back up the road. At the end of the road there is a lovely coastal walk.(steep Cliff side)

We stayed here on Shore Road layby about 3 weeks ago. it was a great spot with views across the estuary with very little traffic. We were also right beside bluebells in the forest.
Good little, leyby. only room for 3 - 4 max. Little room around. we had dogs, so not ideal being close to a road. Fine if no dogs. Some passing traffic but noting problematic. It would be 4 star. If had more room to the side, but fine for a night's rest! Nice to walk to the beach/estuary further up the road.

Incredible view to wake up to with a gorgeous sunrise. 2 other vans here overnight and still plenty of room. A couple of cars drove past really fast at about 1am otherwise 5 stars. Apologies to the others sharing the lay-by with us as we accidentally set our alarm off at 11pm ?
Spent 1 night here, lovely views next to Auchencairn Bay, bin in lay by and seat, walked to end of the lane just over a mile to the hotel and bought a few drinks, stopped off at the village shop who had homemade organic food, breakfasts, alcohol and petrol station opposite. Some passing cars but a quiet lane, saw the hunt go by at 8 am
Stayed overnight 01/09/2021. Relatively quite. Strange estuary as no water, even at high tide. Maybe was a neap tide.
Ok spot for one night. Lots of cars in and out of this dead end road as there are a couple of hotels at the end of it. We had someone beeping their horns and driving really fast around 1.30am (no idea if an annoyed local or a stupid yob). Apart from that, really safe.We even had our telescope out around 10.30pm to look at the stars and Moon.x2 vans arrived later in the night but were very quiet.
Stayed here with another Transporter owner - knew of it but first time overnight. Incredible location with stunning views of Hestan Island and Castlehill Point.
This spot is astoundingly beautiful! Well worth getting up for a walk at sunrise if you can manage it. We stayed Saturday night/Sunday morning, traffic was light and the locals very friendly
