Very quiet night at the top of the field. There is some road noise during commuting hours but it is not intrusive. Pub does a good pint and they serve food (we didn't eat), also dog friendly, brought a bowl of water for ours.
A small field or gravel parking area with free electric if you buy a meal. The food is lovely and the deputy manager great front of house. Offered to fill our water before we went to bed. Highly recommend
Perfect stay! Just phone to ask and they’re perfectly accommodating. Really lovely site, great pub with lovely food. Very friendly staff. We had the field to ourselves bar one other, on a Saturday night in July. Perfect. Also noticed an electric hook up although we didn’t use it.
Absolutely cracking place to stay, staff are so friendly, the food is amazing and parking is a dream. Some road traffic noise but only a minor thing, will definitely come back here again
perfect place to stop overnight. they like you to phone ahead and 'book' a spot. plenty of space to park. beautiful views of the levels. good catered for gluten-free. space to sit inside or out. very peaceful location- Some road noise but didn't bother us.
Really good pub with good food. Main parking area is gravelled and on a gentle but noticeable slope. Separate grassy area with EHU if required. Some road noise but not too bad at all.
Highly recommended. Happy for overnight stops in parking area or field beyond. Electric hook up. Some road noise but worth it for the views. We phoned ahead to book as popular eating venue. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Chef cooked a delicious menu with excellent fish and seafood specials of the day. Staff were happy to recommend local places of interest and we stayed a second night.
Stayed here tonight. Large car park hadn’t phoned ahead but asked if OK to stay and advised not a problem. Large gravel car park as well as small field next door. Excellent food, Butcombe beer. & cider. Staff friendly & service fantastic will definitely be back.
