Super little site right on the beach. Quite exposed. Road down was pretty awful, lots of deep potholes. No 3 phone signal. No WiFi available in cafe. Drinks fairly expensive - £4.20 for hot chocolate. Services for motorhomes super, showers and toilets very clean. £6 charge if not staying. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Buen sitio en una zona muerta sin carretera de salida, es decir, hay que deshacer camino. Cuidado porqué en zonas de agua la isla de Skye es un hervidero de mosquitos. Todos los servicios, muchas plazas diseminadas para ponerse donde apetezca, una bonita bahía y unas montañas preciosas. Precio rondando los 30 €, algo caro para tres personas y furgoneta. Tolle Lage, super freundliches Personal. Konnten ohne Strom einen Platz direkt am Strand nehmen. Sanitär etwas klein für die Menge an Plätzen und auch etwas abgelegen (wir mussten ca 300 m laufen und wir waren nicht am Rand) hier ist Digital Detox angesagt: kein WLAN und kein brauchbarere Handyempfang. Die Lage gleicht alle scheinbaren Nachteile aus. Bester Platz unserer Schottland Rundreise.
Clean functional showers, toilets and shower facilities. Super friendly staff. Amazing shop and cafe. Sublime views. Sea breeze and as not in woods, fewer midges.
Sehr cooler Platz direkt am Strand. Sanitäranlagen waren super bei uns. Viele Aktivitäten sind machbar von hier aus. Kleiner Shop mit dem nötigsten und Café.
Had two nights on this amazing camp side and loved it! 2hrs by foot to the Fairy Pools. No phone signal which was great. Deffo coming back! Wouldn't stay anywhere else on the Isle or Skye.
Wohnwagenfahrer aufgepasst: die single track road zum Platz hat beim fairy pools carpark einiges an Gefälle das beim Verlassen bergauf zu bewältigen ist - bei viel Betrieb bei den fairy pools ein nicht leichtes Unterfangen. Sonst ein absolut traumhafter Platz, nur die pitches 1-6 würde ich nicht empfehlen, da sie bei den Toiletten und blackwater disposal sind wo es gerne mal herstinkt.
Très beau site, belle plage pour faire du cerf-volant. Très bon accueil et excellent petit dej (croissants, muffins maison). Pas d’emplacement délimité et certains inondables, signalés à l’arrivée donc à respecter. Pas de réseau. Dépaysant. Un peu cher pour un terrain (41£ pour van, 2 adultes, 3 enfants sans électricité).
Wahnsinnig toller Platz direkt am Meer. Cooles Café. Mit 40 Pfund (Van, Strom, 4 Leute) etwas teuer. Am Ende einer langen Zufahrtsstraße, kein Internet und kein Alkohol. Super Wanderung möglich.
Traumhaft schön gelegen, sehr nettes Personal und 11 Pfund für 1 Person & 1 Hund im Wohnmobil ohne Strom super fair. Nur die Schlaglöcher/Pfützen auf den Wegen auf dem Platz meinen es ernst…
A lovely stay! Such lovely people, good showers and clean toilets. We arrived at 5pm and found a lovely spot overlooking the beach. There was a fantastic cafe too. Quiet and peaceful and great for the dog. Quite a drive off the main road but we visited the fairy pools so only a 5 minute drive from there. Would highly recommend!
Toller Spot, atemberaubender Blick; leider waren die Sanitäranlagen während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht sauber und die Duschen nur lauwarm. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Wir würden sicher wiederkommen

Unglaublich schöner Ort, sehr weit ab und sehr ruhig. Abends hat eine Hirschkuh den Platz besucht - Natur pur! Kein WLAN und kein mobiles Internet. Für die größte viel zu kleine Sanitäranlagen, die auch nicht besonders sauber waren. Lag aber mit Sicherheit auch an den Besuchern. Bietet sich als Übernachtungsplatz vor oder nach dem Besuch der Fairy Pools an. Hatten auch Abends einen Platz bekommen.
Scenic campsite with a beach, a mountain walk and a lot of facilities. The only small problem is that it’s a bit far from the main roads and the road to the campsite is a bit busy and narrow. Other than that, it’s recommended.
Stayed here 2 nights 29th/30th June, to explore skye from, Amazing spot, it is remote and a long drive to get to but well worth it. No signal but a nice little cafe where you can sit and actually talk to one another haha
Der Campingplatz heisst Glenbrittle Campsite. Sehr schöner Ort. Kleiner Laden mit diversen Utensilien. Auf Bestellung frisches Brot. Sehr freundliches Personal. Stellplatz frei wählbar. Super Ort!
Beautiful campsite with very good food in the little shop, facilities are clean enough but toilets always smelled gross no matter the time of day or the amount of windows opened.
Wer zuerst kommt, malt zuerst! Das ist die Devise von diesem Campingplatz. Man kann nicht reservieren, man muss sich in die Schlange einreihen und hoffen das man einen Platz bekommt. Wer sich mal von der Außenwelt abschneiden möchte, ist dort genau richtig, keinen Empfang und auch kein WLAN. Sanitäranlagen könnten sauberer sein. Als Frau braucht man einen Türcode für die Duschen, als Mann nicht.
Sorry for the staff. Total chaos in cafe shop when we arrived. We took one of the last electric pitches available on arrival. £32 for two adults. No one seems to manage who parks where and safety distance is ignored. At 11:00pm had someone arrive and tried to park up between two electric pitches to announce it’s OK I don’t need electricity. Location is fantastic but the site needs management
Everyone will be pleased to know the road has been resurfaced and is smooth as a babies bum!
Wonderful site. £11 for just me in a van with no hook up. No WiFi or signal but that's fine with me too, plan ahead and look up what you need to before you go.

wir habe zwar noch übernachtet aber vor dem Campingplatz geparkt um die Wanderung zum Rubha an Dunain zu gehen.
Schöner Naturplatz mit Standplätzen direkt am Meer. Kleines Café mit leckerem local Kaffee, der frisch zubereitet wurde. Verbindung zur Außenwelt nur über Telefonzelle, kein Netz, kein Internet.
Vue extraordinaire, personnel très sympathique, petit shop avec quelques produits outdoor et quelques produits de nourriture. Aucun ordre de placement/parcage et pas de réservation en ligne, donc possiblement plein les jours de grande affluence, mais il y a beaucoup de place!
Mooiste camping van onze reis. Spectaculair uitzicht, vriendelijk personeel en lekkere zoetigheid en brood. We waren bijna niet gegaan omdat er ook wat negatieve reviews zijn. Maar daar klopt niets van. De weg ernaartoe is goed. Op het laatst zijn er een aantal hobbels die goed te ontwijken zijn en maar één meter of tien is.
Stunning location with sea and mountain views. Went out of season. Got a wonderful spot overlooking the sea. £11 per adult, we also had a baby and 2 dogs with us who were free. We didn’t need hook up. So yes expensive for a pitch but we were happy to stay for a couple of nights. Good showers and a lovely café.
Road is bad in late season, potholes, site flooding in heavy rain. Did not stay due to flooding but friendly staff gave us some great recommendations . Cafe an facilities look good, shame about the weather
Campsite was decent, and quite quiet when we were there. Lots of flooded pitches after the rain, and absolutely horrendous road to get there, and get to the reception. Possibly worst I have driven on skye (except down to coral beach!!). Facilities were good, clean and new with great showers. I was the only one in there everytime I used them, but long walk from most pitches.
Very expensive, £32 per night with a van and electric hook up, pitches are on a slope so not easy to get level, site is large with only one toilet block, 10 minute walk to use facilities. Glenbrittle seems to pride itself on having no network coverage/wifi, draconian imo, only one washing machine and one dryer, causing much agro about who's turn it is to use each as was the case when we stayed.
We didnt need to prebook. lovely view of the sea. you can park almost where you want, good walk on the sea, toilets good, quite a walk from where we were. they have a lovely café. still opened when we got there around 3-4ish. in the Café, they have a little shop where you can buy maps, clothes, soap etc. you deserve that camping after the long ride of potholes, and single line.

- very few facilities for number of people. We were close by and saw queues for loos and showers on many occasions. Long walk if you're on the other side of the campsite too

Arrived around 5:30 and managed to get a pitch with no electric hook up which is one of the few positives. The roads on the camp were full of pot holes and muddy. There was no structure to the camp everyone just parked wherever and however they wanted.Women’s toilets/showers were dirty and definitely not cleaned at the allocated time stated on the door.Staff were nice on arrival.Cafe was a bonus.
Expensive prices for poor quality. £11 per adult plus an extra £10 a night for electric hookup is daylight robbery. The campsite was a flooded field on arrival with no way of saving your pitch unless you payed a £5 deposit for a sign. To arrive at the flooded field you had to traverse the most pot holy road I’ve seen at a site. Also not enough toilets for the number of pitches. The shower was good
One of the few campsites that had availability in summer. Great location at beach and start of hikes. Showers and washing-up facilities with nicely hot water. Very friendly and welcoming staff in the reception/café.
Good campsite if you want undisturbed as there is very little access to 4g or phone signal with BT. Toilet block is quite small for the site when it’s busy when we visited a few days ago. Friendly staff at cafe for booking in, but was a bit confused that some are able to book hook up before arrival but we were told it’s on a first come first served basis.
Quiet campsite with lovely views. Showers and toilets exceptionally clean however there wasn’t many considering the size of the campsite. No phone signal or WiFi. Owners very welcoming.
This is my favourite campsite on my trip so far! You can’t book, it’s first come first serve, but there’s over 100 spaces but they say they can normally accommodate everyone even in peak season. You turn up and go to the cafe, pay for the pitch and then go and find a space to pitch in! Great little cafe/ shop, selling all the essentials, amazing coffee supplied by Cuillin Coffee which you can’t try anywhere else! You can pay to have a fresh loaf of bread in the morning, the cafe also does lovely warm pastry’s in the morning which was a great surprise! The campsite is also about an hours walk to the Fairy Pools, and save yourself £5 for the fairy pool car park!
Stunning views of both mountains and the sea with rugged coastline along each side of the bay. Can have fires on the beach if you “leave no trace” but not in the campsite. Not many midges if there’s a little bit of wind. Nice toilets and showers (access code needed for showers but toilets available to public). No phone signal nor wifi available in campsite. Wonderful stay & we’d love to come back!
Nice clean site and coffee shop, sorry we decided not to stay as there was no internet. If your internet isn’t a problem then I thing Glen Brittle Campsite is perfect for some fabulous Hikes.
This is the Glenbrittle Campsite run by the Dunvegan Castle. I booked a pitch with EHU next to the sea and got a confirmation but my name was not on the list upon arrival. I paid the £64 for 2 nights, 2 people (£11 each per night & £10 for van/power) and went to find a spot. Got a lovely end of field so we could go side on facing the sea. One major problem was that the access road, fenced off with barbed wire, was between us. Hardly anyone went 20 mph so we got dusted! The biggest issue however was when vans started parking on the other side of the road right next to the beach!!! Our view was then ruined! Turns out they pay £3 a night to park there for 24 hours - they aren’t supposed to use the showers and disposal services but no one is policing it. Great location though and we saw dolphins and a huge Sea Eagle soaring up by the mountains. Showers good.
Nice cafe and bakery on site and in the middle of no where, no mobile signal available. peaceful and quiet but nothing about it amazing. just a lovely site
Grand camping isolé dans les cuillins. Un seul bloc sanitaire éloigné et très sale. L'eau potable est trouble et ne donne pas confiance. Difficile de trouver un emplacement plat. Peu de choix à l'épicerie malgré les avis que nous avions lu. Belle déception. Prix classique 20£ en tente à 2.
Did not spent the night there, but taking a shower for two people and filling the water tank was 3 £, so highly recommended after hiking in the area. Also the cafe is nice and people are super friendly!
Malheureusement nous avons passé une mauvaise nuit à cause de la pluie et le vent. Il faut y penser mais près de la mer le temps peut être violent. Sinon les installations sont correctes, 26 GBP pour la nuit à 2 + 1 chien en camper van avec électricité. Les emplacements "herbe" sont un peu loin des sanitaires. Attention, il n'y a aucun réseau mobile qui passe.
Vue somptueuse mais camping inadmissible. Outre les installations très sommaires et dégoûtantes l l’accueil est franchement désagréable. Le tarif de 50 euros la nuit pour 2 adultes, 2 enfants (3 et 5 ans) est scandaleux. Même la plage est payante. Je trouve que c’est exploiter la nature et les touristes. Nous faisons souvent des petits campings de montagne rustiques et nous n’avons jamais vu un tel tarif
Très joli endroit entre mer et montagne. Un camping qui a su garder le charme de son site sans infrastructure superflue. C’est un bel endroit pour bivouaquer. Réservé aux marcheurs ou amoureux de la nature. Camping-cariste à la recherche de sanitaires haut de gamme pour vidanger vos toilettes ce camping n’est pas pour vous. Les sanitaires sont propres et les douches en nombre suffisant (code d'accès pour éviter justement les resquilleurs). C’est un lieu bohème son prix est tout autant justifié que sur des campings autres de l’Ile. Un 4x4, 2 adultes, un enfant et un bébé, 27 livres la nuit. Mais quel réveil la mer et le soleil !
Beautiful location, but campground far too expensive for the state of infrastructure. Muddy lawn and mud roads, only 1 facility building at the far end of the site, 4 public toilets for women and 4 for men, each 2 sinks without mirrors, no public pissoirs. Coded room with 6 showers, 2 pissoirs and 2 sinks with mirrors for men and same for women. Very untidy (evening 20:00 h, morning 08:00. Waste water dump without fresh water tube. Fresh water along mug roads on campsite without tube and without fitting adapter/ sealing ring. 2 adults, 2 kids over 5, camper, no electricity for 34£ for 1 night! Worst price-performance Ratio we found in whole Scotland. Not to be recommended.
Très beau terrain pour les camping-cars. Il reste dans la moyenne haute des prix locaux, mais le cadre vaut bien le prix payé. C’est un beau bouzin pour les douches car les campeurs sont nombreux.Des bornes d’eau sont très bien placées de part et d’autre des emplacements. La vidange des eaux grises est un peu compliquée et pas très très écologique mais c’est comme ça. Les eaux noires sont plus simples a vidanger. De préférence, prenez les places de 1 à 6. Pour terminer, n’hésitez pas à investir dans des protections anti moustiques, ce n’est pas un luxe le soir. C’est vous le repas..
Camping au top pour 10 livres la nuit (1 adulte, 2 chiens). Sanitaires propres. Calme. Café au top, le gérant est super sympa. Tout y est pour pas cher. Je recommande!
Camping très bien placé entre mer et montagnes. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil tardif et la réduction de 40 % liée à une panne de douches. Attention à l'emplacement, les sanitaires peuvent être loin. Une machine à laver et un sèche-linge serait un plus.
Super camping très nature au bord de la mer, proche des Fairy pools (30 min en vélo sur une route magnifique et pittoresque). Belles balades à faire au pied des Cuillins. Mais pas du tout de réseau Internet captable, ni de réseau téléphone (ce qui n'est pas plus mal pour faire une petite coupure). A recommander !
L'atout majeur de ce camping est l'emplacement. Devant la plage et à côté des montagnes. C'est le paradis des randonneurs à voir l'équipement des campeurs. Nous avons passé juste une nuit. £ 26 pour 2 adultes et un enfant sans électricité. Le coffee shop est très sympa.
L'emplacement de ce camping est magique. Très belle vue sur mer et sur la montagne pas facile d'acces cependant, route pleine de nid de poule.. Camping qui garde un côté sauvage. Café super. Sanitaire moyen mais fait le job.
