Sadly signs have been put up by south somerset council banning overnight sleeping at Ham hill with ranger patrols to enforce. They helpfully suggest using one of the south somersets local campsites! I am now less inclined to do so due to the councils short sighted attitude. The area is now a drive through and not a drive to. Their loss! Great views though.
Friday night=Local kids arriving at 11pm doing doughnuts round the carpark, playing crap HipHop and drinking Cider. After having a great time shouting at each other over the music they left about 1am, leaving their spent cans and bottles behind. At around 3am the Doggers arrive brimming with bodily fluids they want to expel. Other than that it’s a great place!
At the top of Ham Hill with beautiful views over the valley. The local kids with loud exhausts came up here, but they were quiet and left by 11. Undisturbed night from then.
