It's a lovely quiet spot right next to the barrow. only 1 other van in the evening... woke up to a few more. No light pollution - Great for stars.

Perfect park up. Very quiet overnight. A few other vans and some early morning walkers. Beautiful views from the neighbouring hills and the famous chalk horse is just across the road. Loved. It.

Had another van park directly next to me despite the empty car park so ended up moving. Not sure if it was intentionally intimidating or just thoughtless. Give people some privacy.

Really good spot. Flattish and convenient for a very quiet night sleep. Dog walkers galore and great walking trails from all directions. No facilities so take your rubbish with you( we did).

Really lovely spot. Stayed overnight no issues. Signal was not good enough to work in the day (EE and Voxi). No bins. Car park gets very busy with walkers. Be careful when parking as walkers can easily block you in. Our 6m length van was probably the longest you could park in there at busy times.

My 1st time using this app, so I have nothing to compare to, but the location was beautiful, lovely walks, and amazing dark sky to see the stars overnight. Car park got very busy around 9.30am with walkers. I'd visit again.

Zeer rustige plek met prachtig uitzicht over het historische landschap. Prima uitvalsbasis voor knappe wandelingen. Vanaf 7u30 op werkdagen relatief vaak passage van voertuigen, maar je staat vrij ver van de weg. Weinig last van gehad.

Nice views, no charge, very clean. Open so windy at times but pretty level for parking. Lots of dog walkers and not great signal but nice little park up. Roads are a bit narrow and bumpy though.

This is a beautiful location, cited on the oldest trackway in the country. Out of one window we could see a hill fort and out of the other, a Palaeolithic long barrow! It is tranquil except for the occasional boom of ballistics on Salisbury plain in the distance, and a frequently low flying army helicopter. But they didn’t spoil our enjoyment.

Beautuful views. Very rural & little traffic noise. Very open - so windy & no privacy.

Mooie parkeerplaats. Heel rustig 's nachts. Geen probleem om hier te staan.

Wonderful spot. Very quiet road. Far end of the car park widens most suitable for longer vehicles. Great walks with the dogs and far from the road to feel safe. Definitely one of my favourites in the area. Not great signal. Would definitely come back. Great for star gazing on clear evenings.

A perfect stop over with lovely walks. Shared with 3 others. Close to Avebury.

great place to stop, flat and quiet, great walks and views

Great spot. Stayed one night. Fantastic views across the fields and a walk to the top of the hill is worth it. A couple of other people stayed over night but no issues. Petrol station approx 10mins away

A beautiful spot with amazing surroundings and views, great place to watch the sun set on a clear day and lots of walks around. Parking was free and there was a couple of other campers there too. We spent 1 night and left. No phone signal, so great if you want to switch off! nowhere to leave your rubbish so take it with you, it was spotless there!

Just parked for the day to walk - pretty muddy in January and busy too but still free with no restrictions on overnighting.

  • 5/5

Nice little place for an overnight stop. 3 other vans and no restriction signs. Surrounded by countryside and great open views.

  • 5/5

Well worth the detour to find this peaceful spot. Spectacular views from the top of the hill.

  • 4/5

Lovey sport, nice views. Great place for a walk. No obvious no overnight signs. Road past gets quite busy in the morning and lots of dog walkers

Quiet evening on a bank holiday weekend - and it was reassuring to have a couple of other vans there as well. Great for mountain biking and walking. By 9 in the morning the car park was nearly full with early morning walkers.

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet overnight spot. Dog walkers during the day/evening. Great for walking.

  • 5/5

Très calme, beaucoup de passages, en grande partie des gens qui viennent promener leur chien. Attention quand il pleut la zone est vite inondée mais cela reste praticable même avec un camping-car.

The car park was completely quiet when we stayed on a Friday night, but got busy in the morning, mostly with people out walking their dogs. The road was very quiet at night, with no cars passing after about midnight, The site is pretty level. In a beautiful spot for walking in the hills.
