With the construction of the new tunnel, empty spaces are filled with materials. This spot is being used now. If you go under the bridge there are some narrow spots next to the road. Suitable for smaller vehicles.

Quiet and secluded place for an overnight rest for travelers near the river Ticino. easy access from the south portal of the gotthard-tunnel. no toilet facilities nearby.
good for a daytime rest with a quick dip in the cool river in summer months, too.
