Lovely place, especially if you are into bird watching. It was a wild night when we stayed and there is no shelter so we were rocked to sleep. There was a tap but we did not use it. Excellent place for a quiet night with only the bird noises.

Very quiet & peaceful for a nights stay. Couple of walks around. Our pup loved running around & was refusing to leave. We also got treated to a view of a couple of deer in the morning. Would definitely park up here again

Beautiful surroundings and only a 2 minute drive back up into the village. Apparently can flood in high tide in winter but we had great weather in January. Quiet and surrounded by nature, lovely walks to take the dogs aswell.

Great place for daytime, just be aware that it can flood. water tap

What a beautiful park up, with views over the salt marsh and distant mountains. Just make sure you check online for very high tides before deciding where to park. There's plenty of room even for the biggest motorhomes. Wigtown - Scotland's National Book Town - is only 10 minutes walk, with plenty of cafés, pubs and (of course) bookshops. A very peaceful stopover with good 4G on 02.

Beautiful Views. Lovely and quiet. Bins on site. Very windy and apparently a risk of flooding at high tide in winter

Currently parked up here, Beautiful quite spot ideal for a night or maybe 2 . Water tap by the old slip way but water is very yellow as if it’s from a stream . I filled container and will use for bathroom water but wouldn’t use it in my fresh water tank. Apart from that great location for walking dogs etc and no traffic .

Lovely quiet place loads of space for campervans or large motor homes lovely walks and beautiful views definitely be back

  • 4/5

Plenty of room to give good space between vans. Very peaceful, lovely view. Chippy waiting time was 1 &1/2 hours so went to Cobwebs across the road. Fantastic beer battered haddock, chips and salad to take away...yum! Highly recommend.

Tons of room! Stayed here a week or so ago! Defo more room than stated. Stunning views! Will be staying here again!

  • 5/5

I've added a photo of the tap, it works, situated around the corner near to the entrance to the slipway

  • 5/5

Loads of room! Beautiful view and dog had a run, peaceful night sleep. The harbour master came in the morning to warn of a high tide coming later on very helpful and friendly place

  • 5/5

I’m not sure why it says only 2 or 3 vans as there is plenty of space for a quiet stopover. Great spot but no facilities. The area could flood at times of very high tide but we had no problems. The town is great if you like books and the chippy was great too!

  • 5/5

Lots of space, quite level. In total 6 vans/motorhomes. A short walk into town, great views. Quiet and bin provided. Just perfect.

  • 5/5

Perfect place for a night. one other van here overnight. few locals passing by during the day, all friendly. spent the day in the town (10 min walk) then walked along the old costal train line path back to van. bird hide in next field with a nature reserve. didnt see a tap but didn't need it. lovely place, thanks to all who keep it open and make it possible to stay here.

Perfect for motorhone. Loads of space and short walk to the village

  • 4/5

    Huge space, just amazing,

  • 3/5

Massive tap screw, we didn't have the right size connector and we have a pack of them but we managed to fill some bottles. quite close to houses and busy with dog walkers. we didn't stay

  • 4/5

Very quiet, plenty of room, there is a tap for water and 4g coverage (O2) is fine ?

  • 4/5

A really lovely spot on a tidal river. Extremely quite, flat and it felt safe. No sign saying 'no over night parking' as of 4.8.21. Short walk up in to town with bookshops, co-op, pub and cafes. Wildlife and views and not at all busy when we there. A convenient fresh water tap and black wheelie bin for rubbish. Would definitely recommend and use again if ever this way.

  • 3/5

Lovely spot but used by local car lads as meeting place on the night we stayed. which was a Sunday. they didn't leave until 11.45 then it was very good.

  • 2/5

Big No Overnight Parking signs up as at 4-5-2021. No idea if this is temporary. Immediately before the signs there's a grassed area big enough for around 6 vans, but no guarantee that it's ok to stay.

  • 5/5

Excellent stopover. Very quiet at night. A few dog walkers evening and morning. Maybe a good idea to check the tides as it has been known to flood here. There was a high tide when we were here but we were fine. Recommended.

  • 5/5

As good as they say. Lots of space, don't abuse it. Water tap, walks, wildlife and quiet.

  • 3/5

Safe spot to sleep in, no people and very quiet. Wildlife abundant but nothing pretty to look at.

  • 4/5

Ventured down in a 18’ very narrow at start but opens out. Lovely 2.5 mile circular walk along the river. Please don’t abuse the space plenty of room

  • 5/5

Park next to the river Bladnock by the restored Wig town Harbour. The tide has a huge range. Great views to the north. Water tap. Hide for bird watchers.

  • 3/5

Je dirais grand parking plat pour 15 camping-cars, quelque soit leur taille !! Belle vue sur la ria. Exposé au vent comme presque partout ici.
