It was a beautiful place, but we didn't stay extremely busy with doggers. Quite far from the main road so it was very scary, when lots of cars were coming and going. When we left, lots of people stood in the pitch black doing god knows what!!!
Stayed on a Tuesday night (7th of March 2023). Such a beautiful reservoir and forest. The night sky was incredible. Really quiet night with nothing to note other than a late night runner. Very nice place to stay overnight with lots of hiking trails. Need to pay for lower car park - park in Upper (little section over looking lake is the best), this is the first turning once on the reservoir road
Stayed on the 9th October 2022. Cars came and went during the night but did not interfere with a good night sleep.
Be prepared for boy racers flying round and rowdy teens having a loud time. Once you suffer that all is quiet after midnight. Great parking place with views and walks.
Beware of doggers.
