Lovely, quiet parking area by the side of a caravan park (not affiliated with the park). Level area at the end of Tunnel Brae road, with distant views out to the sea. Bin situated at edge of car park, no other services so leave as you found it. We had a peaceful, uninterrupted nights stay on our own, tucked ourself in the corner, counted 21 other spaces for vehicles. Nice walk to Black Glen.

Reading other reviews I thought this would be good for an overnight but was extremely disappointed as it overlooked a very full caravan park which obscured views of Castlerock Bay. It was also quite a way out of the town if provisions needed. We decided against staying and headed further round the coast. This may not put others off but we like to park where we have uninterrupted sea views

Lovely spot, and very quiet. I see people turn at the barrier parking on tunnel brae. This park up is a little further up the hill down a tarmac roadway. Fantastic walks from here to the Black Glen and Mussenden temple, stunning views.

Fantastic spot, tarmac parking and level. 10 mins walk along the promenade to Berthas bar with a good menu choice. Car park at the start of a great coastal cliff walk to Mussenden temple.

No toilets, a bin, level parking behind caravan site

Stayed here last night, lovely quiet flat car park. lovely cliff side walk too. it feel like you are actually in the caravan park and the caravan owners were polite and courteous. no facilities but 2 min drive there are public toilets on see front. ideal for a night or 2 when on Causeway coast route

Great little park up in Castlerock. By the start of some lovely walks with fantastic views and not too far from the town. There were workmen based there (until April 5th 2023) but we checked it was OK to park and put ourselves right at the far end. They started at 07:30 but was super quiet overnight. As others said, drive past the holiday park entrance and it's on the right.

Quiet at night. Google maps tried to take us into Hayes caravan park. Drive straight on passed the gates until you get to the small car park

Lovely, level and quiet. We parked a motorhome here easily and were the only overnighters.

Sehr ruhige Nacht verbracht.

Great spot to stay. We stayed here in February so it was very quiet and peaceful!

Great little stop over! We drove here after being parked somewhere else that was far too windy. Quiet stopover and quiet in the morning. (January)

Great spot right above the camp site, feels safe but during weekends or school holidays it will be loud with kids on the site. Kids were running around the campsite until 11.30pm. One other motorhome parked up for the night and fresh sea air in the morning!

Great spot. Google maps didn’t quite get it right but when you get to the entrance to Hayes Caravan Park on the right, keep going down the short, narrow road - the parking area is just at the end. Overlooks the caravan park so not great views, but it’s a lovely relaxed and quiet spot for the night. Not far back into town for the beach, pubs etc. Short walk to the amazing ruins of Downhill House.
