Stayed 1 night, early Sept. Owners -cafe, very friendly, are Motorhomers themselves. Safe, secure, quiet area, excellent value £10 p/n. Black waste, fresh water. Very close Ferry terminal toilets clean, open 24/7, lit at night. Pitches all face the clean sandy beach. Adjacent public car park / ferry car park has signage saying no sleeping in vehicles or camping. Visited Gigha as foot passengers.

A fabulous location as close to the beach as you could get. £10 per night in the fenced off area with 5 hard standing pitches with water and waste disposal which we didn’t use. Toilets in the ferry terminal next door clean and basic and open. We had a cuppa in the cafe too.

Great place to stop for night. it cost £10 for night and extra £5 for toilet waste. fresh water available. Great views, and very nice and friendly tea room :) recommended

Grande plage.Je le recommande.

Vriendelijke ontvangst.

Owner has just told us that payment only applies if you park in his field. £10 for water and rubbish disposal. £15 if you want electricity too. If you are staying the other side of the fence in the ferry car park it costs nothing. I think the toilets are part of the ferry terminal - every other ferry I’ve caught had public loos at the terminals. (Including Lochranza where the loo was open all night). This place is pretty basic but is adequate if you are self contained. You can park facing the beach at least! Four stars for convenience and a free park up!

Lovely spot. Now has toilet emptying as well as fresh water. Great views and sunset. Perfect for £10/night.

Fabulous location and really friendly and helpful landlady

  • 3/5

Ideal for Gigha Ferry, three dedicated motorhome spots on level (ish) hardcore facing the sea. Water and rubbish on site, public toilets a few steps away and seasonal cafe. Quiet at night, busier during ferry operating hours. Right on the beach looking across to Gigha, a pet friendly, safe but basic site. Tends to be very windy here but I’d recommend as an overnighter waiting for the ferry.

  • 4/5

The cafe is not open on a Monday/Tuesday. The area is looking very sorry for itself; untidy and somewhat overgrown.

  • 5/5

3 dedicated spots, although may accommodate more. lovely spot next to the beach, stunning views and sunset over Gigha. Toilets, fresh water and rubbish bin. Owner is trying to get Elsan point, but not in yet. £10 per night. I'd recommend it!

Parking for a five or six vans next to the Gigha ferry terminal , hard stand right on a small beach , ideal for dogs , water tap and public toilets nearby also a large wheelie bin for rubbish , £10.00 for the night can’t complain at all , friendly man who seems to own it left the toilets open all night for us . Café nearby but it was closed , they also sell Calor gas in various sizes .

Really loved this place, cheap, good views and easy access to the ferry for a day trip to Gigha. It also had fast internet for work. The cafe also has great cake! Note - the only services they currently have are water, but the owner said he plans to do blackwater when he can.

Great stopover with a cafe & toilets next to the site, the ferry to Island of Gigha if you are looking to explore. Cost £10

  • 5/5

Paid £10 cash at the cafe to use the aire. Such a welcoming place. Despite arriving from Gigha just as the cafe was closing, they were able to serve us a fish dinner. Park up was fantastic and about 1.5m from the beach. Very busy in the morning with cars queuing for the ferry. Great place to stay in a lovely part of the world.

Toller Platz.

Piccola area sosta per camper gestita dal locale cafè "Big Jessie's Tearoom and Ferry Farm". £.10 a notte.

Am Cafè steht 'For Sale'!

  • 4/5

Nice spot to camp by the ferry. Paid in café. Friendly and food good.

  • 1/5

ZERO STARS. This place is now a real mess. I would not stay here if THEY PAID ME! There are enormous concrete drain pipes and the ground is very deeply rutted and looks like a derelict waste ground.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot, sunset over the islands and falling asleep to the lapping waves. Ferry carpark doesn't allow overnight but this entry is for a small field on the seaward side that allows parking for 5 vans at £10 per night. Pay at the cafe or call number displayed on gate by bus shelter.

A fine place to chill. Alistair, the cafe owner is very open to Motorhomer staying over. Indeed he provides fair food at a fair price. We had a stunning sunset last night while we were parked up on the grass beside the beach. Great place for dogs, long beach to walk.
