Dunboy,Unnamed Road

Petit parking protégé, bien situé au bord de l'eau. Passé le chantier du manoir, juste avant les ruines du château. Nuit tranquille en van malgré la pluie. Très légère pente.

Es ist ein traumhafter Ort. Wir kommen seit vielen Jahren immer wieder gerne hier her und durften das Castle noch vor den Irrungen des "Celtic Tigers" kennen lernen.

There's a large flat grassy patch with a lovely view. Very peaceful and loads of space. It's at the start of a walk so you may get dog walkers in the morning. There are public toilets in the centre of Castletown which we used before heading here. The access road wasn't as bumpy as we were expecting.

Lovely spot with great views and walk/ swim spots nearby. Access road was fine when taking it slowly. Grass area was flat to park on. Stayed one night in a rooftop tent. It was largely quiet with few people passing except for someone beeping their horn at midnight. From talking to locals construction on the hotel/ castle right behind may stop this from being an overnight option.

Great spot the turning space is the most beautiful but may be moved on although no signs I was told it’s private but not sure here 4 days nights kayaking walking friendly visitors

Pleasant spot next to a small stony beach and at the start of a coastal walk. Fairly well used by walkers but had it to ourselves overnight. The access is road is fairly narrow and potholed but not too bad as long as you go steady.

The access road has not been maintained and is now very deeply potholed, so great care is needed. Some of the holes are massive. Further in, it is now very overgrown on both sides, and too narrow for motorhomes, which would get badly scratched. Maybe a smaller van could make it. I had to reverse before I reached the end and find a place to turn around. I chose to stay in Castletownbere instead.
