Beauly,Unnamed Road / Loch Affric

Very secluded old quary with view od the lake. No signal. Quiet night, just stags in the distance.

Nice and secluded when we were there, only one other van. No midges when we arrived, but some appeared the next morning after breakfast. There were clean public toilets at the car park further up the road (less than a mile). Great location for early-start walks in the Glen.

Very spacious, flat and not busy. Midges didn't seem worse than elsewhere - you just have to accept they are part of nature and use nets and repellent. This isn't an official car park - just seems to be some waste ground, probably from earlier construction of the hydro infrastructure in the area. Convenient for start of hikes up the Munros to the north of Loch Affric.

Endroit calme, plat et avec une belle vue. De belles randonnées aux alentours. Cependant pas de réseau et prévoir de quoi se protéger des midges voir rester dans son van.

Beautiful view but we couldn’t even get out of the van ,. It was packed of midges, so we had to leave after a hour cause they would eat us alive?

Assaillis de midges qui réussissent à rentrer dans le camping-car, nous avons fui à 22h15. Belle vue cependant.

Le parking de Glenn Afric étant interdit la nuit, nous nous sommes rabattus vers celui-ci pour une étape. Grand parking, plat avec beaucoup d'espace face au lac. Très belle vue. attention aux midges et aux taons à la tombée du soir Le lendemain nous avons dormi sur le parking de Dog Falls qq km plus bas, au bord du torrent avec des tables de pique-nique. Beaucoup plus agréable
