Use designated campsite around Kirkcudbright. not for overnight stays I'm afraid. Local council/police have been contacted regarding litter and anti social behaviour. not an area to stay overnight. support local campsites please and allow everyone to use the parking areas without them being filled up by camper vans 24/7 365!!! ???

Absolutely loved this place. Peaceful, with very little road noise. Plenty of space for the kids to roam free.

Scruffy spot with loo roll n human waste in the grass from those not self contained. Visited by lots of dog walkers so Dog poo abounds. The bushes are hacked from people lighting fires. Such a pity some people do not respect the countryside. It could be a great place to stay. We tidied it up a wee bit but gathered so much waste we had to stop!!!!

Absolutely lovely spot. We only stopped to make some lunch here but if we had time to stay we definitely would have. Quiet area and beautiful surroundings, can’t go wrong!

Great place for the night (we stayed 2) great view and great to watch the tide come over and sand no bin SO PLEASE take your rubbish with you

Great views, no facilities, narrow lay-by on quiet lane, bit of a walk back to town (approx 45mins), exposed if windy, coastal walks available, room for three vans

Lovely view over the estuary and close to a fabulous walk beside the beach and onto the cliff tops. A great place to pitch up for the night.

Parked in the lay-by a little further along, room for 3 vans. Super quiet and tranquil, beautiful view of the estuary. Good 4G signal too on EE.

It's spots like this that remind you the reason you bought a campervan. beautiful views over the estuary, gentle noise of trickling water and the calls of sand pipers calling, also, get here early as there are only 3 spots (really) and you'll also hopefully be rewarded with a stunning sunset!

This spot is great. The pics don’t do it justice at all. Lovely stream and can walk onto the beach.

There are a few places to park here, we're in a VW T6 and the first place is ideal for us though tricky for motorhomes. There is a crescent shaped parking area first on the right maybe 500 yards down this road, right into the rocky beach and with an amazing view. So far a number of cars have passed but generally very quiet and secluded. If I've changed my mind in the morning I'll update this!
