I can confirm the other great reviews for this place, I live locally and visit it frequently for some exercise, although being a local I have never stayed overnight, I can say with confidence that if you arrive and the car park is full, you can just park instead on the side of the approach road, along the ridge of the contour around Dent.

Nice spot at the start of a hike. A peaceful night and we were the only van there. Some dog walkers starting around 6am, nothing too loud but likely to wake you in the morning! Lovely place.

Stayed here last night, dog walkers coming and going till about 10pm. Quiet night till 5am and dogs barking. 4g signal.
