Good for sleeping, empty and safe spot since it's relatively far from main road but not very nice to walk around. Lots of cow shit everywhere, dead birds in the river and generally bad smell.

passed this 2 days ago. couldn't stop as it was full with folk travelling for the Appleby Horse Fair this weekend. looked a good spot though and nicely tucked off the road.

Great little spot next to the river and tucked out of sight but still close to the A66.

Quiet minimal noise from A66 perfect overnight spot.

Stayed here on Saturday night. occasional road noise from the A685 but far enough away from the main A66. Stream/brook runs along side this parking area, quieter the situation the louder the water! Less gravel piles than in posted photo, I arrived and departed in the dark so no new pictures sorry.
