Stayed one night. Head to bottom car park via St Marygate to avoid steep twisting ramp. Various flat areas with grass verge to overhang back of van. Quiet night settled by 10. Shops, Sainsbury’s and pubs etc within short walking distance.

We stayed the night with no problem. Several motorhomes already there when we arrived at around midnight. Quiet night, ever so slightly on the slope at the bit where we parked.

Arrived after 6. We had a very peaceful nights sleep here and stayed all of the following day to visit ripon for only £2! Only downside was a few cars coming to the car park with music on, leaving engine on, staying for about 20 mins then leaving (who knows!? Ha). No bother to us and this was only up til about 9/10 o’clock. Very peaceful sleep and quiet morning. No issues. Highly recommend

Parking très calme la nuit, quelques places à plat. Toilette et supermarché à proximité. Pour les véhicules de plus de 6 mètres, utilisez le parking du bas accessible par Saint Marygate l'accès est beaucoup plus simple et le parking est à 2 GBP pour 24h.

Excellent quiet stop from the motorway (8 mins). Arrived after 2000, left before 0800 and was free. Beautiful cathedral close by.

Excellent. Nous sommes allés sur la terrasse du milieu au fond. Pas de bruit la nuit. Les cloches jouent entre 20h et 21h toutes les deux minutes pendent 5 minutes. Sinon rien de grave. Magasin Sainsbury et tous commerces à proximité dans la très belle ville.

Rustige en centraal gelegen plek. Het laagste deel van de parkeerplaats is het mooist en ook nog goedkoper. Centrum en supermarkt op loopafstand. Politie doet 's avonds z'n rondje over de parkeerplaats. Tip: bezoek Fountains Abbey, 10min rijden. Decent, quiet spot in city centre, next to supermarket. Police frequently patrols the lot, for safety. Fountains Abbey is really worth the 10min drive.

No overnight camping allowed. See Harrogate council website. Carpark also had racing taxi drivers and arguing/shouting youths. Not a pleasant place.
