Far enough from road to make traffic noise not much more than a noisy fridge.

Large lay-by separated from main carriageway with trees and shrubbery so quite private. Three HGVs and us parked in it overnight but still plenty of room for another couple. It was a last minute decision for us after earlier plans went awry, but it was comfortable and safe for one night and we slept well. Traffic noise is reasonably loud but not excessive.

Standard large layby. It is pretty close to the road so road noise is a bit much!
