Can take about 3 camper vans was busy on hot day with paddlers and boaters sharing

super spot... mes malheureusement interdit de passer la nuit. La police locale viennent de nous informer et de nous mettre une amandes.

This is a really nice quiet spot but it is slowly being ruined by over population of motorhomes etc. This isn’t a large car park so anything more two or three vans isn’t polite or courteous to residents. Please be considerate or this spot will also be off limits soon.

a great spot ,went for a great breakfast at Wendy's cafe just up the road £6.50 for the house breakfast..more than enough to satisfy the hungriest person. no local hostility everyone spoke when passing ,must be one resident who is probably an incommer who doesn't like motor homes...we will be spending more money at Wendy's tomorrow.

As a local, I can say that we are utterly fed up of the streams of campervans that turn up during the summer. This is a residential car park and last night 7 campervans turned up. One car was blocked in by inconsiderate campervans parking across it and another car was unable to turn in the car park due to so many vans. We are working with the Community Council to introduce charges per night.

great spot. was busy with other motorhomes when we stayed but plenty room. no issue from locals. beautiful sea views and bins on site. access to the beach (pebbles).

This is a great spot. Only 1 other camper parked for the night and no bother from residents at all. Very friendly all round. Beautiful views and very close to Fort George if you’re planning a visit. Thanks to original poster for this find.

Lovely spot, open to the elements but a lovely view. Nice pathway to walk the dog and friendly passers by. Would stay here again. One other van there overnight.

très bel emplacement peu de.monde plat

Lovely flat car park hidden away & not directly overlooked. We arrived late (8pm). 1 other motorhome we’d seen in other spots earlier in the week so knew they were quiet & kept a low profile. Great views, quiet & peaceful. We walked to The Star Inn nearby. A cosy welcoming pub. Would have been nice to eat there. No facilities, toilets further along the road. You need to be self contained.

Lovely views with picnic tables - watch out for potholes at entrance. Locals use car park a lot and most don’t mind the Campervans as long as there’s parking left for themselves - it’s popular for dog walking … so be respectful - find another spot if there’s already a few vans there and don’t park side on.

Got here late pm .went to star inn for evening meal 5* food and big portions. well reccomend. spoke to a few locals who are very friendly and happy for Van's to stay .the only thing they did say was a bug is those who park side on .

Stunning view over the Moray Firth , however, locals are completely and utterly fed up with campervans and boy do they let you know! Residential houses are all around within yards, and dog walkers passing by at all hours

Very nice place. I visited today and talked to some old friends in the village. They don't mind a couples of vans but last week there were 8 large vans parked there. This inconsiderate behaviour will spoil a good thing and the height barriers will go up.

Beautiful spot after completing NC500. The views are spectacular and we have been blessed with beautiful weather. The toilets are a short walk towards the village and there's bins in the car park. Fort George is a 30 min coastal walk away. A lovely man lives in a van in the car park and the locals stop for a chat. The car park is used heavily by locals, they prefer only 2 campers stop per night

Stayed in July. Superb views and very quiet. Would recommend for smaller vans, the larger ones parking sideways and taking 3 spaces are sure to annoy the locals eventually which would be a real shame. The car park is used by locals and visitors throughout the day and was busy up to around 6pm. Good local pub nearby.

Fairly quiet with a nice view over the sea. Had bins and mobile signal there, and toilets a 5/10 minute walk away.

Stayed here one night. You can empty your rubbish here and there are public toilets along the path in the direction of the airport. You can walk in the other direction to Fort George. We had a beer in The Star pub which is very nice. Didn’t check if they do food but they probably do.

First time using the app and thankfully it’s exactly what I was hoping it to be and the location is beautiful!

Quiet spot with plenary of space and full reception

Great free parking area facing bay and over to Ben Wyvis. Good for walking with path to Fort George. No services but rubbish bin, Spar supermarket short walk.

  • 2/5

OK place to stop for lunch but not great to spend the night. Too close to houses.

  • 2/5

A beautiful view, but boy racers late in the evening, heavy traffic that started at 0430, and some cars beeping their horns in the morning. Perhaps too residential.

  • 4/5

It is level and free and has a beautiful view over the firth but it is yards from residents' back gardens. Further along the same road north of the village are two more larger parking areas also with a view to the firth, but with a 2m height restriction, although the barrier into the first one was not locked.

Good place very quiet all the time toilets just 6trs away on the shore
