Layby just outside entrance to picnic/parking spot, next to the river. Wonderfully tranquil and atmospheric place. No signs about no overnighting. Just 100m from the Sir Peter Scott East Lighthouse and a footpath that goes by the wetlands of The Wash.

Do not park in picnic area, you may be locked in at totally random times and need to call fire service to cut you out as no way to contact whoever is in charge of the lock

Yes, there is a sign “no camping”, but it is for the picnic area. The lay-by in front of it is fine to stop for the night. We spent a very nice night here and went for 2 fantastic walks. Highly recommended!

Lovely, level area to get parked up, just in front of carpark height restriction barrier on the East Side of river. other than a few cars coming to the carpark earlier on, it was quiet. Dog walkers in the morning. lovely walk passed the Lighthouses along the donkey Bank.

Great place to stop but the part where you park slopes back and it’s hard to get level. Woken up at 2am by cars coming out of the picnic area and over the cattle grid. They were no trouble but the grid is noisy!

Good park up, had great sleep, a few youngsters in cars until 10ish but no noise. a few ships sailed past. nice walk out to point and saw seals on shore. litter bins in car park.

Very lovely spot, we had no trouble. The post code is for the other side of the water!!!! Remember that it's East bank you need and keep going it is a long way along.

Lovely layby. Great view over River, lovely walk on bank. Few cars at night and dig walkers but not enough to be a trouble. Got two 6.5m MH on with careful parking would get 3.

Well lovely quite spot at the entrance to height restricted car park little lay-by pull in section. Walks along bank will be lovely in good weather! There is St Peter light house you could normally go in and see if not for covid. Quite at night some early morning Dog walkers but other than quite road. we went Halloween weekend in school holiday time. Big enough for two MH possibly 3 . If kept tidy and quiet I think the residences wouldn’t complain .

A great quiet spot with a nice wide road to get to it. There are plenty of places to pull in along the road so very easy to find somewhere to park. I stayed on a weekday and was completely alone until a dog walker showed up at 9:30.

Nice, quiet spot. Couple of cars or so drove past to use the picnic car park briefly but otherwise a good night

Great little spot, well away from noisy roads and residential property. Nice peaceful night, only farm traffic in the morning.
