ACHTUNG: Uns wurden hier zwei mehrfach gesicherte Fahrräder vom Camper gestohlen, während wir geschlafen haben. Obwohl wir es bemerkten, hatten wir keine Chance, die Diebe zu fassen, da der Fluchtweg über die Strandpromenade genutzt wurde. Laut Polizei ist der Ort dafür bekannt, dass sehr oft Fahrräder von Campern gestohlen werden! Klare Warnung an alle! Hier sind kriminelle Banden am Werk!
Hier ist das Parken für Caravans leider verboten. Nicht nur das Übernachten! Ansonsten ist es eine Spitzenlage mit direktem Blick auf den Firth of Forth, auch ein nettes Café ist dabei.
!!ACHTUNG VOR KRIMINALITÄT !! Zwei Jugendliche mit Sturmmasken und Cross Bike wollten uns am hellichten Tag ausrauben. Sie haben versucht die Fahrräder vom Fahrradträger mit Hilfe eines Bolzenschneiders zu stehlen. Wir haben sie gerade noch dabei erwischt. Ein Mann der Highway Maintenance teilte uns mit, dass dies ein bekannter Spot für kriminelle Aktivitäten sei. ACHTET AUF EURE WERTGEGENSTÄNDE!
This is a gorgeous spot. Noise of aeroplanes as under a flight path but didn’t actually cause us any issues. Few ‘boy races’ racing along but if they aren’t doing any harm - they weren’t bothering us. Would recommend! Does have a sign to say no caravan overnight.
Planes overhead. beautiful large beach when tide is out perfect area for dogs and dog walking, we have a sighthound and this beach is wonderful for him. cafe nearby and public toilets a five minute walk. cafe is expensive! but basic good food.
Great spot with beautiful views over the Firth of fourth. Apart from the noise from the planes landing it was very peaceful (friday) and had an enjoyable time. it didn't bother us as we live under a flight path at our home. If your self sufficient then it's perfect as there are not any amenities close by.
Vue le prix du camping et l’accueil nous avons décider de passer une jour sur se parking beaucoup de passage pour une samedi avec pas mal de jeune . Le matin une vrai décharge de canette de bière du coup nettoyage pour ne pas croire que nous sommes responsable.
Très grand places de parking, au bord de la mer, nombreux camping-cars.
Moved to this spot after not being able to settle in the carpark due to it being rammed and it was great. Lovely, quick access to the beach, bins and pretty quiet after getting used to the odd plane going by. Couple of other motorhome/vans parked up and was able to easily access a bus into edinburgh.
Supermooie en fijne plek aan de zee. Restaurantje/café sluit om 17 uur. In de avond/nacht wat gehorig door autos, maar dat stopt. De overkomende vliegtuigen wennen vanzelf. Tip het ligt aan een doodlopende weg met een rotonde om terug te draaien. Bij de rotonde kan het druk worden met jongeren en autos. Wij stonden bij het restaurantje. Daar was het een stuk rustiger.
Magnifique endroit ! Nous avons passé la jour là et les très nombreux avions ne nous ont pas perturbé. Route un peu circulante, à 20mn du centre-ville avec possibilité de prendre un Uber
What a find. Great park up with gorgeous sea views, beautiful for sunrise. There is a Cafe, beach and promenade. It is on flight path, but my kids loved watching the planes. Highly recommend.
Pros: right next to the beach, great for a morning walk if you have dogs. Out of the way but felt safe Cons: the planes that go over every hour or so are noisy but you do get used to them. The first road we took to it (west shore road) was closed so we had to come back to the roundabout and take another route. All in all, Was a good space for 1 night
