Open layby with plenty of space for day or over night rests. Free parking day or night, no facilities, pulled away from the road on the Exeter to Seaton road at a Sidmouth junction. There is a caravan site and pub close by. The layby can be full but it rarely is. Some van and lorry stops but never normally full.

Long curved paved layby, suitable any vehicle. Slight slope, nothing to worry about. Didn't use levellers. Rubbish bin. 3/4G. Views over rolling hill landscape. Responsible grey water discharge possible. Screened from main road by several M. of shrubbery. No overhanging branches. Road noise 6.30am-11.30pm, although quiet enough overnight for good night's sleep. Best layby in the vicinity to stop.

Me and my partner have stayed in our car for a few nights, a little loud at night as you’re next to a main road, but it does do quiet after a little bit. We feel safe here, some people come and go (dog walking) a few lorries may park here. Normally very quiet. Would recommend.

Had a safe night here! all by ourselves on a friday night. there is a bin which is great. the layby is back from the road which feels safe. we were totally undisturbed the entire evening. obviously traffic noise, but that is to be expected :)
