Yarrow, 1 Lakeside View

Amazing view! But... Parked up, got settled then the council man said no over night parking we had to move to Tower Knowle just over the viaduct. He said we had to pay £10 but I couldn't find the website! So paid in the morning

Lovely day spot, cracking view. We paid £10 for overnight ticket from the castle car park as suggested. Got the knock from council man, no overnighting in this one. He said the car park over the dam and Tower Knowe lower car (about 1/2 a mile back up the west side of the lake) park would be ok, we chose the latter.

Another great spot courtesy of Northumbria Water. Gave only 4 stars because the car park on the other side of the dam (you can drive over) is bigger and more out the way. NB This spot is very easy to locate on the map but my data nav sent me all over the place!

Nice spot for a night or two. There are pay machines but they only take coins! In fact all of the car parks we found in the area are the same so make sure you take plenty of change (not all of the car parks allow overnight stops).
