set back off road.... sloping down and left to right..lit area all night...buses passing regular... youths hanging around most of the evening..pulling wheelies on motorbikes with police trying to catch them for most of the time....a bit of of a cat n mouse scenario.... your choice....all the reviews highlight this layby correctly

This is a decent place to stop off, it's secluded from the main road and is fairly wide. Busses and motorbike training/lessons/test during the day. Had some kids racing each other on the night time, harmless fun but it's loud. Avoid if you're a light sleeper. No services

Stayed overnight here on a Sunday. Good flat parking on a wide road. Trees on both sides for privacy and to reduce the traffic noise. The odd bus every half hour until 11pm then quiet until 6am. 1 mile walk to park & ride bus stop for Bristol (2.1m height limit so my van too big to park there). Good spot will use again. Toilets at P&R.

Lots of noisy scrambler bikes on a Saturday during the day. And then, like others have said, buses, street lights, but loads of room and a quiet night without any bother.

Easy to access. Plenty of space, even for several large vehicles. Sheltered from the main road so quiet at night. However buses run until 11pm ish and start again at 5am. Lined with street lights that didn't appear to turn off during the night. Not great for the day time as it is used by a motorbike school for practice.

Old main road lay-by, fairly busy with buses and a few parked lorries during the day , quiet at night
