lovely little spot, close to the motorway a bit of road noise but not too bad. clean and tidy parking area next to a dry stone wall and a flower bed. fresh water, grey and black waste dump, no toilets. The owner was v friendly. Great stop over for us heading to Scotland

A great stopover, has everything you’d need (fresh/grey/black water) in a lovely little well-kept paddock. Super easy to get to from the M6 and with friendly owners. Couldn’t ask for more at £10 a night. We will be back!

We have traveled this route for years and usually stop off on the A66. Club sites around Barnard Castle have become expensive so we use P4N. Tolbar is a neat and tidy plot just off the roundabout on the A6 and far enough away from the M6 J42 to avoid the noise. A friendly welcome from the land owner pointed out water, rubbish and disposal points. £10 for the night!!! Amazingly good value.

Loved this place! Dale and his lovely wife were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We were only going to stay overnight but stayed five nights! Thank you for providing us with such a great place and being so accommodating, Eddie misses you already, we will definitely be back if you'll have us

Great little spot, friendly owners who opened an outside toilet for us to use, nice little grass area to park and few hard standing spots also, £10 a night and assess to water and can also empty toilets would recommend.

Der Platz und die Lage ist super aber bei der Bezahlung hat der Sohn des Besitzers altes Wechselgeld angedreht wo man nur noch auf der Bank einlösen kann da es sonst nirgends mehr angenommen wird.

Cracking location and a pretty field with flower borders. A quiet lane to walk the dogs a super owner and clean facilities. 100% would use again

Wir haben hier angehalten, um auf dem Weg nach Dover unsere Toilette zu leeren. Sehr netter Empfang vom Eigentümer. Konnten unproblematisch säubern, haben 5£ bezahlt und konnten weiterfahren. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Lovely, well kept area. Lawned with flowers and trees so very pretty. Just off the motorway ( junction 41 ) so a perfect stopover. Everything you need for 1 night or a longer stay . At junction 40 there’s a Morrisons , Iceland and Aldi . Couldn’t be better . Host is lovely too . Highly recommend this spot

Used this as a stopover on my way to Scotland on the weekend of Appleby horse fair. Dale was great, explained the facilities and told us to pick a spot, 2 other m/homes on site. Very friendly and ideal being so close to M6, 2.5 mins into Penrith. Definitely will use again.

Stayed for a couple of nights, friendly owners and lovely site. Nice and quiet and easy to find.

Great place, inc facilities for all fluids - fresh, grey and toilet empty facility. Dale (who runs it), was super helpful in sorting me out with a spot fairly late at night. Really appreciated and super convenient for the motorway.

Great spot to stay, we arrived to rest for our onward journey to Scotland for one night, very warm welcome and great facilities, fresh water, grey and black waste. Perfect!

Great wee “stop over for the night” spot. It’s just minutes from the motorway and my wife, our dog and I stopped there on our way from London to catch the ferry from Cairnryan. Dale is very friendly and easy going. Also there are lovely quiet roads around to walk your dog.

Stayed here overnight on our way back from Scotland. It was very quiet as we were the only ones there and only a couple of cars passed by in the morning. Fresh water available and grey/black water disposal on site - all free if staying overnight (£10) or £5 if just using the services. Dale was also super friendly and easy going! Would definitely recommend for a stopover!

Amazing place. Dale was great, perfect spot to get rid of waste and refuel before continuing our journey. Would 100% stay here again.

Cracking park up for a night if travelling through. Water tap with hose attached and black and grey disposal. A nice long walk along a quiet road into Penrith. Despite proximity to busy roads, it was a quiet night. As others have said, Dale is a super friendly host. Great price.

great location near vets. stayed night and quiet. walks nearby for dogs on lead in rural area. toilet waste disposal is unusual. hardstanding is nice and level.

Perfect for a quick night stop over and to empty your toilet and fill water etc. 2 mins off the motorway, very handy for trips between Scotland and England.

ABSOLUTELY lovely little spot! The owner - Dale - is one of the most hospitable and friendly folks we’ve met along the road. You could not ask for a better host! Give him a call to let him know you’re coming and he will accommodate you! Easy in and out from the roundabout - 3 minutes off the M6! Coming to or leaving Scotland, this is a great stop! We could not recommend him highly enough!!!

Absolutely faultless, both very friendly and accommodating! Called the number and asked if it was okay for us to come and use the facilities. We emptied our grey and black waste and refilled with water for £5 before setting off on our way again! Handy for nipping on/off the M6 also. Would definitely recommend!

Accueil hyper sympa de Dale, je crois , sur son terrain privé en herbe. Vidange eaux grises et remplissage eau potable ok et vidange de la cassette toilette aussi. Pas d’électricité . Convient très bien pour une halte d’une nuit lorsque vous montez ou descendez du ferry à douvre. Relativement assez bruyant pour les personnes un peu sensible comme moi avec la route passante juste à côté .

Top plekje! We kwamen gisteren avond pas laat aan, rond 21:30, maar werden allerhartelijkst ontvangen! Mooi grasveld en alle faciliteiten aanwezig.

Dale is very friendly and welcoming. We arrived later than planned but wasn’t a problem for him. We was the only ones there so was great for the dog to have a little run on the pitch. Would 100% recommend. Very quiets nights sleep. Thank you Dale

Great stop over, simple, super and very convenient just off the motorway by 10 mins, grassed area surrounded by stone walls and fields at the back. Warm welcome even though we arrived as it was getting dark. Perfect stop over for our trip up to Scotland, will definitely stay again.

Great stop over, well away from the M6 so no motorway noise at all. If we're passing this way again will definitely stop again.

we arrived late, just before midnight and it was hard to work out exactly where it was (no signs?) but we went through into what looked like someone’s garden and hey presto there it was, all mostly level grass, large area, waste tanks were hard to work out which was which, hope we got it right lol water tap is near back of house, there is recycling and a dog poo bin

Wir waren mit unserem Citroen Jumper eine Nacht hier. Sehr netter Empfang. Alles da was man braucht. Die Wiese ist gross und relativ eben. Platz für ca 10 WoMos. Kommen gerne wieder.

Such a fabulous find! Farm views and only 5 sites-great! Good stopover to/from Scotland. Owner very friendly- I could not phone ahead so was lucky he didn’t mind and there were spaces - after 7pm. Easy access off the M6. Will definitely use them again. All facilities needed- grey and black water disposal and fresh water refills. No ablution block.

Cracking little stopover site. Friendly owners. Simple services but clearly laid out. 5 spots for motor homes/camper vans, perfectly situated for Lakes or (like us) rest stop travelling down from Scotland. Will definitely be using this one again.

What a fantastic find. We stayed last night and had the place to ourselves. Just off the motorway for convenience but far enough away not to hear it. Services as expected & very friendly welcome. Places like this need to be supported, we will certainly be back. Thank you.

Lovely, friendly site. Quiet with a nice walk into the fields and lanes close by. All amenities for motorhomes except for electric hook up. Highly recommended.

Dale who runs this has only just opened. About 5 grass pitches and safe and ideal for overnight stop. £10 including services or £5 just to use services. we stayed overnight to break up journey to Scotland. Very quiet peaceful night. This is early days so expect ongoing improvements here. Would benefit from a waste bin but everything else is here.

stopped over for a water refresh and empty £5 Man who runs it was nice and very helpful they are just getting started and looks like a nice place for a stop over has a few bays for overnight stays we didn't as we're passing through at the time.
