no overnight parking sign at entrance. I always stop here when I'm passing, no hassle and convenient... not anymore.

Having the toilet there is great and all but the noise isn't worth it. Constant noise from the road but mainly the shear number of people stopping here. People blaring music out. I barely slept in fact it was the worse since I set off. 2 stars for the convenience of the toilet. Cafe food was overpriced and poor quality

Really well used parkup - tonnes of motorhomes and lorries staying overnight. Stayed for two nights but made sure we moved the van off during the day. Police did a drive by on the second night but no trouble. It's obviously a popular spot for doggers - but we didn't have any issues with anyone.

Toilet and picnic area. Cafe on site - hours vary by season. Officially no overnighting but no one is bothered and always plenty of Motorhomes and lorries. Yeovil and major supermarkets not far away. Past its best but still a nice place to stop.

Perfect stop, big spaces but can imagine it could get busy. Picnic benches, grassed areas and cafe. Loads of campers/mohos Bit noisy but it is a lorry park.

We arrived here early evening, managed to get a spot but was rather busy. Lots of motorhomes and lorries so felt quite safe. Small cafe, toilets, grassy area and picnic benches. Very near the road but we both wore earplugs during the night so didn't hear a thing. Would recommend for a night!

Good place to stay for the night, quiet and lots of other HGV's and campers around so feels pretty safe. 50 did check to see if I was ok in the morning as they'd noticed I'd been there a while so suggest moving off during the day. Cafe convenient, but ladies loos out of order.

Excellent spot for an overnight. Sign says ‘no camping overnight parking’ but lady in the cafe said it wasn’t enforced, there were multiple HGVs and a couple of other campers when I stayed in March 2020. Good nights sleep.

Was worried by the sign saying no overnight camping but it soon became clear there were several motorhomes and lots of Lorries staying over night not the quietest place but felt very safe will use again

Arrived 8 pm 31 October (Halloween) to find place almost full with cars and lorries. After 3 laps managed to squeeze in near entrance. Not disturbed by people during night but there was some noise from cooler units on fridge trucks. Tourist Information Office open from 9 am was main reason to stop here.

Lovely spot to stop. cafe open 6am to 10pm food is nice and not expensive toilets open 24hrs

We stayed here overnight at the weekend. It was busy with lorries and lots of camper vans. The toilets are clean and the cafe opens from 06.00 - 22.00. We could hear the traffic on the A303 during the night but we had made the mistake of parking on the side nearest the road. I'd not hesitate to stop here again.

Cartgate picnic area, Stayed here 24/8/19 lots of other motorhomes and campers. beautiful place for an overnight stop, cafe/resturaunt open til 10pm with outdoor seating . toilets open 24/7 and are immaculately cared for with flowers and a guest book in.wouldn't hestitiate to stay here again.after we got up we had a walk around got some food and a drink in the cafe. parking free day and night.

Safe place to park, toilets available, plus cafe. Lots of motorhome, caravans and lorries parked up overnight. Great place to stop en route to where we were heading for.

Nice place to stop. Lots of parking, 24/7 toilets and cafe most of the day. Picnic benches. Quite close to main road, noise not too bad but close so it's easy for a pitstop.

Cartgate Picnic area, well signed off road, great free overnight, spotless toilets, waste bins, little green area to walk dog, and cafe on site if you want it. Loads of space, several lorries and other campers parked.

Slept here plenty of times, police come down from time to time to check on the area but they aren't bothered with people staying overnight. it is good during the day but gets Dodgy at night so always keep doors locked apart from that it's ok.

Stayed over 24hrs. Overnight Saturday very quiet. Toilets clean. Emptied Non-Chemical toilet waste in toilets twice and cleaned up, no problems. Great free stop!

Always a good place to stop over enroute. Quiet till 6am then the main road gets busy.

Worthwhile stopover, sharing space with trucks and afew vans. Peaceful location except nect to busy A303 but felt safe with toilets open till 10pm with a cafe adjacent till 10pm also. Note : it does state no overnight parking/camping but if truckers do it....then the police can't discriminate against motorhomes/campervans.
