No camping or overnight parking permited. Steep climbs in and out of the two car parks so be careful during the winter. Lovely stopover fabulous views and walks. No services here but close to Buxton for top up.

Now has no camping no overnight parking signs on both car parks!!!

Stayed here for two nights. Really nice wolk start at the parking area. noisy at daytime, quit at night.

Parked here on a Monday night. Top car park is much more level although it is a bit windy and cars do drive past every now and then

Great spot by the lake. bottom car park is the pitch of choice on the water's edge busy in the day but silent in the night Have enjoyed several morning swims here.

We spent the night here on 4/5/19. We had a quiet night and woke up to lovely views. There is about 5 different car parks that can be used for camping, all along this road.

We stayed at this location the weekend just gone,30/3/2019 it is a brilliant place to stop,it is a busy car park as lots of walks,but by the evening it was almost empty,couple more motorhomes stayed too,worth a visit.

Plutôt accéder par le sud, depuis Buxton, par A5004, Long hill et Goyt's Ln, ainsi vous éviterez les routes très pentues et étroites par le nord. Il y a deux parkings, un de chaque côté de la route. Celui en contrebas est plus grand, mais très en pente. L'autre est quasi plat. Pour le calme il y a mieux : la route est assez passante. Alentours il y de belles promenades à faire.

Fine for a night. Stayed in the upper site overlooking the water. Lovely walks directly from the site. Cars do like racing along the road and the dog walkers arrived from 6 am ish. However to be expected as it’s a lovely spot with a good choice of walks with beautiful scenery.

Parked over the bridge on the other side overlooking the lake. Quiet apart from cars racing down the lane every so often.

Nice spot, very quiet except for a few vehicles racing along the lane overnight. Car park isn't quite level.

Stayed overnight in the top car park. 6 spaces, 3 for disabled. Great spot but popular with local traffic and star gazers. Plenty of early morning walkers to chat with. Stunning landscape.
