Nice stopover. Stayed with one other van. Very quiet and no bother whatsoever. Good stop over place if you’re driving higher into Scotland

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet car park with walks nearby. £3:30 overnight and out of the way so no traffic visiting in evening.

  • 5/5

Quiet, Cheap, not too far from local shops and a lovely walk up around the waterfalls. Will definitely be returning in future

  • 5/5

As previously said £3.30 for one of the most peaceful nights in the van, brilliant.

  • 5/5

Great place £5.15 by Ringo for our 6.7m motorhome. We parked in the 3rd from top overflow area. Weather was very bad so the sheltered area was useful. Walked up the waterfalls the following morning, which were spectacular because of the heavy rain in the previous 24hrs. Only a few others stayed in overflows. We will stop here again and visit the mills.

  • 5/5

Great place to stop overnight. Plenty of tree cover on a hot day. £3 for 24 hours well worth it. Very quiet also a good place if you have a dog.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Toller sehr ruhiger Platz!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Superb. We stayed at the overfills park B up the hill a wee bit, surrounded by the birds. In the morning there were squirrels and rabbits in the parking area. The hike up the falls was wonderful.

  • 5/5

Superb, one other MH, nothing but the birds. Perfect.

  • 4/5

Worth the £3 car parking fee to explore the UNESCO heritage site and walk to the Falls of Clyde. Car park was quiet over night however the lighting is really bright so make sure you have good blinds!!

  • 5/5

We stayed for one night (£2.95). Safe, quite and meet a very nice local man the next morning out walking his dog and feeding the birds. As we had visited the Mills the previous day, this man was keen to share his knowledge of the place. The New Lanark Visitor Center is a fantastic place to visit, it was fully accessible and inclusive for our disabled Son. Top marks to the Center.

  • 4/5

Just a quick stop over Sat/Sun. Parked in one of the upper car parks. Nice and quiet no disturbances. £3.20 paid using the app.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

What more could you want from a car park (£3) flat and almost level, sheltered from most of the wind. A little dirty (leaf mulch) underfoot. We parked on the top tier near the entrance and apart from licals walking their dogs and a couple of people running we had no disturbance. The acid test is would we stay again, yes we would, no problem. David

  • 4/5

Great car park, very quiet but floodlight ok with decent blinds. Lots of folk say they have parked campervans however paying is via app and we tried to use it, which we have for our van, only to find it said our type of vehicle was not permitted! Spoke to a workman he said lots of moho park there! Used the machine entered our reg and it gave a ticket. ANPR on site so await fallout!

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

We had a great time here there was a huge carpark which was floodlit and felt very safe. Or smaller over spill car parks that were a little more secluded. We stayed in our VW Camper and paid £3 for 24 hrs. There was another van across the car park. We have black out blinds so the flood lights were no problem. It was super quiet and we did the 12km hike to the waterfalls the next day which is well worth a visit. You can do a shorter 5km return walk too. This a perfect stop for heading north or south.

  • 5/5

Great overnight stop. £3 for car, or £5 for larger vehicle; great value. Lit all night by bright spotlights. Car park is ANPR camera monitored so make sure you get parking ticket! No one else parked when I was there, landing 19.30. Excellent.

  • 5/5

Wowsa what a fantastic spot . Empty well lit car park with CCTV which was welcomed as only vehicle in the large coach park arriving after dark. . £3 for 24 hours. circular walks and amazing New Lanark village for a bit of social history.

  • 5/5

Extraordinary place! Walked round the UNESCO village at dusk with no one around. Just fantastic. Also saw bats flying around near the Clyde Falls. Nice flat, quiet and safe car park available for £3 for 24 hours (£5 for a coach) with space for dozens of motorhomes (although only three over the three levels when we stayed)

  • 4/5

Great park up for the night. Flat ground and only £3.20. Mobile reception 2 bars on 4g on EE and O2. Second visit we came back to walk the Clyde falls loop. Superb walk of just under 8 miles. We’ll be sure to use it as a staging post to further adventures and travels. Quiet night and great sleep.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Great overnight spot , park is lit so good for security. Plenty of walks and kids can play in the burn next to the picnic area and park. £3.20 for 24 hours and can pay on app. My phone reception wasn’t great so I’d maybe download some things lol

  • 5/5

Excellent. Came in after 10 pm on a Sunday, left at 8 am. Very quiet, easy to find.

  • 5/5

On a adoré.

  • 5/5

Parkeerkaarten 24h £3-5.

  • 3/5

Nuit tranquille sur le parking. Pas de service.

  • 5/5

Absolutely amazing parkup, our favourite so far. £5 for 24 hours and the walks around the surrounding Forest were incredible. Toilets in the visitor centre (check opening hours!) (ps, if you love geocaching, there are a few fun ones here!!)

  • 5/5

Amazing place. Very cheap overnight considering the location and tonnes of space. There are some really beautiful dog walks nearby, including The Falls of Clyde.

  • 5/5

Great spot loads of spaces I arrived for last night of FREE parking Signs now up for RING & GO Starting Tomorrow £5 24hrs Wed 22nd June 2022 Plenty of flat spaces and waste bins No other services

  • 5/5

Parking parfait.

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet park up, felt very comfortable staying overnight. Huge carpark with several overflows (we stayed in an overflow as it felt more cosy). one other motorhome in the next overflow. Everyone that stays seems respectful as there was no evidence of people leaving rubbish etc. New Lanark is pretty cool and worth exploring. lots of trails to walk the dog

  • 5/5

Stayed for one night very peaceful night. ,

  • 5/5

Sauber, ruhig, super geschlafen. Ohne jeglichen Komfort, vielleicht also genau richtig.

  • 5/5

Wonderful. We stayed in the top tier of the overflow car park. It was flat and quiet, surrounded by trees. Several other vans. Floodlighting not an issue as we have blackout blinds. Walk to New Lanark and on to Falls of Clyde so worth doing.

  • 5/5

Perfect for a one night stopover. Floodlights on all night which given its a relatively secluded area and I was the only van this did make me feel a bit more safe as a lone female! Couple of cars pulling up (the usual) but an undisturbed night.

  • 5/5

Super quiet lively cafe in the village

  • 5/5

Asked in the village ticket office for permission to stay. We parked on the 2nd or 3rd overflow car park up. Managed to get 120 free view channels and 4g with Vodafone and EE. Not sure if flood lights weren't working or if they turned them off for us. Lovely walk to the waterfalls and ticket prices are reduced at the moment to £5

  • 5/5

Excellent stop over location . Fully lit main car park and covered by cameras . Plenty of room and as others have said several smaller car parks also available. Walk up along the Clyde to the three waterfalls . So peaceful and a wonderful location .. can’t believe it’s free , we would happily pay a small donation to help with the upkeep of the local area.

  • 5/5

This is a vast and split level car park area. No facilities except for the cafe / toilets down in the village a walk away. was a great, quiet spot for the night. It was lovely to walk on the falls walk after the crowds had left for the day. Also had a quiet walk around the old village.

  • 4/5

Great spot. 2 other campers there, but loads of space to spread out. Unfortunately 4g signal is intermittent (at least on the lower carpark areas)

  • 5/5

Great stopover quiet at night great walks along the Clyde falls and visit to the heritage centre has a cafe to eat and loads of history wildlife and good for photography

  • 5/5

Great location, they have 3 smaller parks that are a bit more private then the large one at the bottom with the bins, would def stay here again.

  • 5/5

Good quiet spot for the night. Plenty of space and bins. Carpark also has cctv and is well lit at night.

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet spot. Lots of wildlife and lots of bins. Walk to the mills well worth the effort as very interesting.

  • 5/5

Used as s a stopover on the way North. Stopped in one of the three overflow car parks before the main car park. Very quiet and level. Short walk to a lovely view and interesting historical spot.

  • 5/5

Amazing spot with a must see world heritage site

  • 5/5

Amazing quiet spot and a must see world heritage! Definitely worth the diversion for us!

  • 5/5

Really quiet, best night's sleep, and the bonus of an empty world heritage site to look round (we arrived after hours!) Beautiful falls, interesting historical site, brilliant playground, woodland walk with roe deer and tawny owls hooting as I went to sleep.

  • 5/5

This park up is lovely, very big and level. It’s the visitors car park for new Lanark. Beautiful old mill that’s a world heritage site, very beautiful, you can easily spend a day here, rather than just being a place to spend the night. It is within walking distance of a national park, with amazing waterfalls to view. Highly recommend with the added bonus of a children’s park near by.

  • 5/5

Lovely stop, very large car park, quiet, no issues parking

  • 4/5

Very quiet at night. Used as stop off on way to the highlands. A bit of a detour off the motorway.

  • 5/5

Perfect spot to stop overnight and break up a long journey. Quiet and safe with lighting and cctv. Great fish and chips nearby too.

  • 5/5

Great option to break out journey up north. loads of space and very peaceful, definitely worth a little stroll down the path to New Lanark.

  • 5/5

Bonito lugar para pasar la noche. Parking grande y silencioso.

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Great stop quiet and peaceful. We stopped on one of the terraces.

  • 4/5

Fantastic spot, we stayed one night, 2 other campers there, really peaceful. Be sure explore the trail from New Lanark in the evening when it's nice and quiet.

  • 5/5

Excellent stay on one of the more private plateaus.

  • 5/5

Super quiet at night. It is worth walking down to the New Lanark Mill Houses and up to the Falls of Clyde, beautiful.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

This is a multi -tier car park built on an old football pitch and allotments. unlike our British counterparts, there are no posted rules to when and where you can park. The largest of the parking areas is covered by CCTV cameras. A local dog walker advised me that it is well used by motorhomes in the summer months. The car park serves the old mill at New Lanark. This is a World Heritage Site.

  • 3/5

  • 3/5

    Endroit calme et gratuit !
